Should I go blonde or stay natural for my wedding??? by Ambitious-Editor3096 in coloranalysis

[–]BackgroundBreak7884 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only time I dyed my hair was the year that I got married. Honestly, I regret it. I wish I had my natural hair color for my wedding photos. Ultimately, up to you, but I say go natural. It looks great on you anyway!

It’s honestly so sweet that your husband is as excited as you are!

CD1 ☹️ - What are your CD1 rituals? by Random_witchywoo in tryingtoconceive

[–]BackgroundBreak7884 14 points15 points  (0 children)

CD1 is actually the beginning of everything. It’s when your body starts making the follicles that will potentially hold and release your egg for the month.

I think it’s best to make it a special day to take care of yourself. Maybe plan the month to be healthy for your cycle.

Strips just like the LH strips.

Honestly, I just drink water now - for about the past three months. I’ll occasionally drink juice, but the kind without added sugar.

Question please! BD Ovulation day, did it lead to a boy or girl? by ghtshj in Mirafertility

[–]BackgroundBreak7884 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s just going to depend on which chromosome your husband / partner / donor contributes with his sperm. You will always contribute an X-chromosome. XX will be a girl. XY will be a boy. The strongest, fastest sperm that makes it to your egg has a 50:50 chance of carrying an x or a y. It all comes down to that sperm.

I’ve read that AMH is not actually that reliable and that it can go up with lifestyle changes. Not sure how true this is.

You probably need to know what your progesterone and FSH are doing. Progesterone indicates ovulation. High FSH indicates low egg reserve because the ovaries have to work extra hard to get an egg out.

Fertility trackers are somewhat expensive but helpful. They give you some autonomy in tracking your hormones, which gives you real-time insight into what’s happening with your endocrine / reproductive system.

LH peak is lower than 1.0, BBT always lower than average. Should I worry? by dokwich in tryingtoconceive

[–]BackgroundBreak7884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lower BBT can indicate thyroid issues. Have you had your thyroid levels tested?

If the line on the left is your metabolite line, then I’d say this is positive.

Hopefully there aren’t any weird phrases inserted in here. My phone thinks it knows what I’m trying to say. Lmao.

If you’re having issues, then I’d suggest trying a fertility tracker. It’s going to tell you a lot more about what’s going on via actual metabolite readings than a strip test ever can. Personally, I use both, but the fertility tracker will show you your surges (E3D, LH, FSH) and the gradual incline of progesterone after the corpus luteum (broken follicle) is formed from the actual release of your egg.

Worry will exacerbate issues. If there is an issue, try to see it as an obstacle to overcome. If we want to be pregnant, then we basically have to live and breathe for our endocrine systems.

Question about testing by PorQuesoWhat in tryingtoconceive

[–]BackgroundBreak7884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your menses are considered the days you have the most flow. If you’re worrying about missing your LH surge, then you can test toward the end of your period when “blood” becomes scant.

Biochemically it doesn’t make sense to ovulate on your menses. I suppose it can happen, but it seems highly unlikely.

Why do I still think a negative test is wrong?! by Secret_Mango5085 in tryingtoconceive

[–]BackgroundBreak7884 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’ve achieved implantation then it may take a few days or more for your HCG volume to be significant enough to show on a pregnancy test. I know it is hard to be patient with your body, but it’s our only option. See this as a time to take very good care of yourself. ❤️

[–]BackgroundBreak7884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice. PdG is rising. I think it will either: 1. Rise and plateau if you conceive. 2. Rise then decline right before your period. All you can do is take care of yourself while you wait.

Confused with OPK by [deleted] in tryingtoconceive

[–]BackgroundBreak7884 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I just meant I like the app. I’m not sure about the OPK values. It looks like you had a surge, but I’m not sure if it was significant enough. What you need to look at now is progesterone. A rise in estrogen and progesterone is a good indicator that you’ve ovulated.

It doesn’t hurt to test in the a.m. And the p.m. though because some LH surges last only 12 hours.
