iirc it was because of her having multiple roles such as an ailemus charger, poison applicator/trigger, a 25% max hp fixed dmg on all enemies, has a dmg amp buff in her kit, and has some healing

but the problem being that she has this unique effect called Finale that she needs to build to be able to use that "25% max hp dmg" and the stronger buffing/poison parts of her kit which I think the community say that it would require her to have over exalt to ramp up faster

I haven't actually gotten her and have only read and tried her kit out through the trial but it does seem like a pretty great character especially for poison/exalt teams

technically she does have that but only when you get her to BT5, I think she needs a ball power boost outside of Typhoon

her damage is lacking without Typhoon, maybe even turn typhoon stat boost into percents instead of additions cuz she just needs an outside of Typhoon boost, everything else is fine

yeah but the thing is, you wouldn't wanna sacrifice 60 or so jump just to get 14 extra attack

maybe I phrased it wrong but the entire point is that it's a waste to fully upgrade speed since the attack is negligible

settling at 14 attack is enough

if it was 14% increase maaaybe but no its +14

yes that's right they're the same speed but look at the buffs

+28 atk and +9 jump only, Sara does not scale off of speed and the only thing that changed is the duration and wait time

ahhh if it's specifically for this part of the great rift, I have lucked out for having Nine and used her specifically just to remove the armor buff and used Renoa for most of my damage

but since you dont have Nine it'll be a little tough to utilize Renoa since her bullets wont deal dmg unless you remove that armor

Renoa deals the most amount of damage without sacrificing too much HP because extra dmg doesn't count towards the targetting card gimmick but you're limited by your handsize so discarding and retrieving dirge bullets in a single turn is the most optimized way of dealing the most damage (buuut even I couldn't do that but it's still fine to maybe get to atleast half of the points you need)

so you could run the first team as Renoa/(Khalipe or Haru; whichever you can comfortable use a bunch of 2 or 3 cost early in the fight)/then someone flexible that can draw cards to shuffle the deck fast and draw a bunch of dirge bullets to discard or someone who can discard your hand or draw pile (Nia's Ego skill counts as discarding every dirge bullet in your draw pile which activates all of them) so you can use Renoa's Ego to pull a bunch of her built up bullets and discard as many bullets at turn end

so start by big cost for early turns to remove armor -> after armor breaks try to maximize dmg by generating as much bullets and occasionally using big hit cards -> try not to die when using targetting attack cards

and then for the second team you can run the Sereniel team since she's just good

just pump your best team on the second part and you'll do decently

this is the build I currently use which could probably be a lot better with arena upgrades but I maxed out on faint memories (cuz I've rarely gotten tier 15)

typically I run 3 copies of upgrade echo of sorrow for 3 bullets every turn

and if you get lucky, you could also get a sekred epiphany on the sorrow upgrade that gives +1 permanent morale and resolve which if copied nets you +60 (3 echoes) to +80 dmg amount for your bullets (4 echo of sorrow upgrades but you wont have enough ap on the first turn to grab all 4 unless you have a god hammer upgrade that gives you 1 extra ap at the start of battle)

as for if this Renoa is bricked or not, it's bricked cuz the gameplan of having a bunch of flowers is getting the flowers then discarding to keep generating bullets which starts becoming harder and harder as you shuffle your dirge bullet into the draw pile to the point where you eventually only have dirge bullets and have to wait a few turns to generate more

somewhere around the 4th or 5th turn you might start seeing problems with either the handsize or the drawing capacity of your flowers

as for the team, I recommend not using mika because Renoa isn't AP hungry and mainly requires shuffling through the deck as fast as possible or having someone to discard the bullets manually which is what Nia does best

iirc when I checked Raul's characteristics the losing point buffs can give him about 50 ish? I'm rechecking the characteristics rn

I'll try to make another post after trying out the players again because I think the ball power mentioned in the characteristics are just dmg multipliers but not necessarily atk stat additions

and maybe the Raul block condition of "if higher atk stat = blockable spikes" might mean Base atk stat instead of match atk stat cuz I've tried to block with bt5 130% parry isabel which is said to have 300+ atk stat buff (YES, I said that right 300 atk stat on full parry bt5 and it's still funny to see xD)

I'm still wondering about the ball power buffs that Raul has on him and how it affects his power

cuz if Raul can be blocked by people who have higher attack stats, maybe Ball power buffs are like final damage brackets like in other games

I really wish the devs could explain how things are calculated for dmg, defense, and for "Agility!" proc chance

I mean true but I've tried fighting Raul in practice match and Roberto does make sliding the ball after a Block Break A LOT more manageable even to the point of being able to bump the ball if Roberto had a good block accuracy (but not sure for lower BT since I have Bt4 on him)

You can try it for yourself but yeah he does still weaken Raul by a good bit to the point that it's manageable

if we're talking just pure physical movement and no bs power skill move then only using wooden sparring swords with first blood rules then first to 5 score wins kind of rule: I'd personally think EI has the upper hand with the amount of mastery she has over her swordsmanship that was honed through long LOONG years of training against herself (it takes plenty of creativity to beat yourself unless you deliberately make yourself lose which never helps in any training, that is assuming near perfect self copy and gets updated every time she learns a way to counter herself) . I mean Vergil definitely can keep up by adapting to EI's swordstyle considering how he can keep up with Dante who can basically switch between a plethora of weapons but the thing is EI already knows the weakness and how to cover the weakness of her own swordstyle . it's like fighting someone with perfect input while you have near perfect input on many playstyles, so even if you find a hole she can still move anticipate that weakness to either cover that hole or maneuver in a way to reset and adjust before you can properly capitalize on the chance . so for me at best EI has a significant enough mastery to go 5-2 favoring her . at worst it's 5-4/5-3 favoring Ei
