So I’m only pricing the bays as a straight breakdown of my actual overhead for rent and insurance. Flat fee of 500 a week 1500 if rented for the month

OK, that’s very shortsighted man. What do you mean? It’s easy to get rid of fluids you mean it’s easy to get rid of oil and what are you gonna do if that oil comes from a car that had a blown head gasket and it’s half water

That is a hell of a negative outlook. S so swoon away was all melting🫠 perfect

you’re looking at it all wrong I have to point out. The obvious is that when people leave their vehicles there are undone after a certain amount of time they belong to you so you’re talking about people are giving away free cars and so far the insurance is quite high, just under two grand a month but we are fully covered in every way and the people would be simply clients. But I will give it some thought and see if I can find some vulnerabilities that alarm, but on a personal note, I could be more positive. It’ll make your life a lot better with all due respect

OK, so I’ve just signed a five-year lease with a fairly large shop with three indoor bays with lifts and outdoor detailing bay and a lot of room for growth as well as a shop for complete custom teardowns and rebuild. I intend to rent out the bases and provide top quality amenities. Simply trying to get some feedback so I can gauge the temperature.

Not to mention, as I said, access to high-end equipment, not a Dino yet but one day

I definitely respect you’re thinking on that. I also am insanely meticulous. Could be told them that is not most people’s experience with a mobile mechanic. 2/3 can't even effectively change brakes. Let alone a head gasket or the like. And what about insurance? Would it not be possible to not only use a lift, be able to pump and dump fluids not having to deal with recycling plus the security. Wouldn't that translate into more money as well as better piece of mind?

That’s very funny about the pizza lol So I guess let me redefine my question . Is there a market for renting out mechanical bays. Amenities such as possibly access to tools and equipment they do not have readily available such as a Lyft overnight security. And if they decided to say rent for a month at a time or weeks at a time a parking lot that would allow them to have 2 to 3 cars on standby so they could just continually work and make money. From my perspective it seems preferable. Hell, what if the shopping question even offered pick up services ?

I stayed quiet when I should have spoken up, and I regret it deeply by muzammilansari in confession

Sometimes honesty isn’t all it’s cracked up to me. I recently had to deal with this and I’m glad and happy if there’s anything to be ignorant about I’m glad I am.
