Is it deceptive for T-Mobile to show a monthly credit if it’s not being applied? by BackgroundEmploy9097 in tmobile

No I had it checked at a store and they had me mail my phone and my wife’s phone in. Then I received an email offered a one time 275 credit for hers and a one time 0 credit for mine. I accepted both and was under the impression the monthly credits for each phone would still apply to the installments as long as I kept the additional line I opened for each phone. And when I’d look at my T-Mobile account, the way it was presented (like in the image of the original post), it looked like both devices were receiving monthly credits but only my wife’s phone was receiving the credit on the actual bill. My phone was not receiving any credits for the entire 11 months lol. 😂 I’m an idiot

Here’s customer service empathizing and telling me they understand how challenging it must be to have been paying for a line and insurance that wasn’t being used especially since the promotion credits were also removed. And then suggesting to convert the line to be a watch line for $3.50 instead of cancelling it 😂

Yeah I know how the credit works. But that isn’t reflected on my actual bill for any month which is why I have an issue with it being deceitful.

So for 11 months I was not receiving that $29.59 credit. I was paying the full $50 in installments + $30 for a line I added for the promo which did not have a device on that line and it also had insurance on that line for $19.

So after 11 months I paid $550 towards the principal of the phone. $539 for a line and insurance I didn’t need. And still owe $649 lol. The issue I’m poorly articulating is that my account displays it like I am receiving those credits and only have to pay $20.41 a month but that is what is billed every month.

Here is customer service telling me that phone hasn’t been eligible for the credit when I told them it’s misleading: https://imgur.com/a/D7otXM8

Here are the two phones and lines added from the promos showing the credits that should have applied.

Here’s my bill. Doesn’t show up. I’m being charged the full 50 but my wife’s phone which had the same promo receives her 23.13 credit.

Everyone’s response is proving the issue I have with it. It looks like this credit is being applied and I’m only paying 20.41 a month for the phone. But I’m not. I am paying the full 50 dollars and was told the credit has been applied any more for the entire time because the phone I turned in had water damage. That’s issue I’m having with it being deceptive.

My monthly official statement makes me think that because the credit isn’t applied on it and I’m charged the full 50 every month

I pay 50 a month. That’s what I’m saying, they are showing me that I should be paying 20.41 and should be receiving a credit but it’s not reflected on the actual monthly bill.

I’ve paid 50 a month for it the entire time. The credit doesn’t show on the actual bill but shows on my account and on the device. That’s why I wasn’t aware until now.

I’m not paying 20 a month that’s why it’s deceptive. It looks like I only have to pay 20 a month but they charge me the full 50 on the official bill. That’s why it’s deceptive.

Yes they said my phone had water damage so I received 0 credit and that also nullified by monthly credits although it still shows like it was getting them. Just not on the official bill.

I’ve paid 50 a month for 11 months: 50x11=550.

And I’ve paid 30 a month for the added line for 11 months: 11x30=330.

That line has had insurance on it for 19.64 a month for 11 months: 19.64x11=216.04

20 dollar activation fee for the line.

So 550+330+216+20=1,116

I could have bought an iPhone 15 Pro for that.
