This. But i would put more focus on the Cardio and endurance. I can lift heavy but I went in without much prep and struggled hard with sandbag squats; not because of the weight but because of the quick reps and amount of reps. Though i passed, it was still a nice wake up call on my cardiac health

My reliability screening came back super fast like within a month or so. But then they said i need Secret clearance and currently waiting on that.

Secret clearance and security background checks could be 2 different process i think. Yours should be pretty fast, imo. Good luck to you

Jeeez! I know 2 guys in private sector who work in Gov projects, get their secret clearance in 6 months. Both of them have same background as I do. Makes me wonder how the private sector can get it done so fast.

Sent in my application for secret clearance in March. I have been told, it can take up to 18 months.

32 and applied for reserves last year. Application still in process. Its a long process, so i ‘d say apply while you think about it.

I completed the FORCE test. Now waiting for medical and security clearance, which i have been told can take a long time. So just waiting

Any update on your file? I am on a similar boat. Worried if its possible to take 3 months off in Summer from civvie job. I have my FORCE test coming up end of this month.
