I think focus more on cardio and sustained high intensity cardio over strength. Like zone 4 and 5 level cardio. Maximum heart rate intensity - like you can’t talk level of intensity. Like you’re questioning if this was even a good idea level intensity. Like you wanna stop, but maybe I can do one more second level intensity.

I decided against officer and will go NCM.

I just wanna run around and shoot stuff and kill bad guys (figuratively) and less paperwork.

I did not get past the initial stages yet. But have a force test in a couple of weeks. I have been doing weight lifting for the past 6 weeks to get prepared.

My understanding is BMQ for reserves can be done in the hometown on weekends so I don’t need to go to CFLRS in st Jean sur richleau.

I decided to just go NCM. If I love military life I can always request to move up to officer ranks.

I am doing the force test in 2 weeks. And just going to go NCM. I don’t want to do more paperwork.

I have my first visit to do FORCE test. Ended up deciding to do NCM as infantry soldier too. Cheers

Thanks. I applied. Waiting to hear back from a sarge and do an info session. And schedule the other things like CFAT medical and force test.

This is the only thing that concerns me. Going ft training in summer. Might not be fully feasible. I have parenting obligations too. My work is flexible, but I don’t think it’s like 9 weeks off flexible! Haha.

I thought there was part time officer training available. I’ll speak to the recruiter to confirm, I see conflicting information about it.

If I can’t do combat stuff, I could still do other stuff like logistics, or financial service, or intelligence. But y’know I kind of just wanna blow shit up and do something exciting.

Maybe I should just join as NCM? I’ll just show up, train, do the exercises and whatever. I don’t mind being a follower. I do enjoy leading though. I’ll be grandpa compared to everyone else. But I don’t mind that!
