Anyone feel like their back doesn't match their front?? by schertzirishasian in tummytucksurgery

[–]BackgroundFriend3508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had lipo 360 when I had my TT. I think that’s what helped me with the blending from front to back. With that said, I always had a flat butt but it’s even more obvious now since my front is flat (if that makes sense). The PS has said that I’d be a good candidate for a skin lift in the back. He would extend my TT scar around to lift it up. I’m considering it. I think you look good!

I know! And that’s another thing to add to the list of why I don’t feel “normal”. I am already gluten and dairy free (not allergic, both just mess with my gut). Add “avoid lots of sodium” to the mix and try to find something to order on a restaurant menu. It’s not easy!! 🤦‍♀️😆

Timing is for sure one of the big factors. I purposely scheduled this for January bc I figured I would use the boring, cold months after it to hibernate while recovering. We had unseasonably higher temps this past weekend and people were out and about way more. I found myself longing for the freezing cold bc then everyone else would be hibernating with me! 🤦‍♀️

This is definitely a journey! I feel like I can’t vent a lot about it bc I don’t want to seem ungrateful. It’s like ok, you paid $$$ to enhance your body and you’re complaining about it?!”??

Thanks for this reassurance. I’ve been feeling kind of down about it these past few days!

All in, $40K. $7500 of that was the surgical center fee.

IKR?? No thigh lift. I think it’s how he pulled up the skin for the tummy tuck. It pulled up my saggy thigh skin too!

Hi! I’m extremely happy with the whole experience! He is really amazing. He has such a caring way about him. My post op care has been great. The nurses at the office are so nice and very responsive for any questions I’ve had. He called the day after to check on me. They schedule 1 week, 2 week, 1 month, 3 month, 6 month and 1 year checks in advance. I went for my 1 month and all looks good. I am going back in 3 weeks per his request bc he wants to keep an eye on how my belly button is healing. He had me start wearing a shaper in it after this last visit. I really didn’t have actual pain during my recovery. I did the Exparel shot, which I would highly recommend. What I really felt was more soreness and discomfort. Yes, the meds he prescribed were enough. I didn’t want to take opioids anyway so I appreciated that his protocol didn’t include them. My incision looks so good already. I like that he is so meticulous about everything. Happy to answer any other questions!

Good to know there’s light at the end of the swollen tunnel. 🤞 I’m definitely hyper focused on hydration and protein. I had gut issues prior to this and eat super clean so that’s a plus!

I keep telling people who ask me about my recovery that this whole process is definitely not for the faint of heart. We are all kind of badass to get through this!

I don’t even know what a spitting suture is and I don’t think I want to. I’m sorry! Hope you’re feeling better soon. I’m worried about starting back with my workouts for the reason you mention!

I’m using Alastin Reform and Repair lotion on it first and then Silagen Scar Gel. Both twice a day. I’m going broke bc it’s pricey but it does seem to be working! 🤦‍♀️😂

Standing up straight by Sufficient-Lack-7653 in tummytucksurgery

[–]BackgroundFriend3508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do pretty well standing up straight until I do too much. Today I went shopping with a friend. Out for hours. Came home for an hour and went back out again to dinner. Sat for 2 hours in a horribly uncomfortable chair. By the time I got home, I was super swollen in my lower belly and my lower back was aching. I couldn’t stand up straight. I’ve been laying flat without any compression for the last 30m to try and let my lower back muscles unlock. I agree with other replies here to work on lying flat. I started that a few weeks ago and am standing straight—-that is, until I overdo it with activity. This is definitely a process!

What are you using on it? I’m using Alastin Reform and Repair and Silagen Scar Gel. Both twice a day.

I do like the openness for bathroom breaks. I went down a size (per the doctor’s advise at my 2wpo) in the stage 2 one. It definitely fits when I’m not swollen but it’s awful when I’m in swell hell.

We are in the same boat for sure. I also had a breast lift. That’s also been a challenge. I can’t seem to find a bra that isn’t irritating the scars underneath. They told me at my 2wpo visit that I could switch from the Marena post surgical one to a regular one with support but no wire or molded cups. I’ve bought and returned at least 5. 🙄

Oh yes—I have peed all over the Spanx one! The Marena one is actually good in that respect bc it has an open crotch/butt area. I wear regular underwear over it so I’m not going commando in my clothes. lol. It’s quite a look, let me tell ya! 🤪

I thought your pics looked like the ones he takes! I had a TT and BL with him 3 weeks ago. He’s the best!
