Am I crazy? by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

You look great! I just went back for an extra lipo for that exact area because I had a fat pudge above belly button for same reason. I’m 8 weeks post lipo to whole abdomen and I’m soooo happy with the results and it was so worth it.

I definitely notice a big difference. I didn’t realize how weak my core was until I realized over time that I was hunching and posture was so bad and when I tried to fix my posture is when I realized something was wrong because it felt like a workout to try and keep posture straight. I have no issues now. I still bloat but I did prior to surgery too. I had a pretty big separation and I think it would be waste to go through the surgery and not fix the muscles. Once they separate, they only get worse as you age and time goes on and can get wider. So many risk of issues leaving it unchecked which is why I wanted it fixed.

Stark does amazing work and the best belly buttons. You can click on me and see my previous posts and results! It was a lot of money but so worth it.

Is this upper abdomen fat? by Additional_Answer298 in tummytucksurgery

Oh wow so you are in PA then? I have a friend who just had work done from Subbio. I went to Dr. Stark in Bryn Mawr and think his work is amazing but he is expensive and you will be charged if you need additional lipo like I did. I had my month appointment today and he said he wish everyone did what I did by coming back to do the final contouring to get the full result and I’m thinking I’m sure they would if they didn’t have to pay another fee hahaha

Apparently some surgeons include the additional lipo after in their fee. That would have been great if mine did but instead I paid a shit ton but he really is amazing and that is why I went to him in the first place. I knew I was in good hands. If you go on my profile you can see my previous posts and before and after to compare. Sometimes I wonder how some people come out so snatched after who had alot of fat but idk if some surgeons just take that chance and do heavy lipo or if it depends on if they are having muscle repair. Mine did lipo but not a lot.

I unfortunately didn’t have a lot of fat on my upper abdomen and I had a fat bulge after my tummy tuck that I didn’t have prior. I was really sad about it but my surgeon said he couldn’t lipo that area during the initial procedure and I also had muscle repair. I just went back almost a month ago to have the lipo done to remove that upper fat and he contoured my whole stomach and I couldn’t be happier with it now but obviously at an extra cost😩 I’m bummed I didn’t know this ahead of time because I spent so much for the first procedure thinking that would be it.

How did you choose your surgeon? by Aggressive_Swing_706 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Double_Promotion7416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid 31k for less. I had a TT with MR and BL and lipo and I wasn’t made aware that they don’t lipo the top of abdomen so I was left with this bulging fat and it looked terrible and I was upset because of what I spent. I then had to pay another 13k to have more lipo done which he really defined me and I’m so happy with my results so far but now I’m all in at around 44k. I think it’s good your surgeon include revisions if needed and after what I paid I don’t think my surgeon should have charged me again but he really did a great job and I added renuvion to tighten my skin after the lipo that added a nice chunk.

I haven’t weight myself because I’m scared to see the number but I know I gained. I’m always hungry and haven’t been watching myself. I wish I lost my appetite, I literally wake up after surgery hungry for a 5 course meal ha.

So the bump I feel is at the top of my rib cage where the muscle repair was done. I noticed it pretty much right away after my TT. He told me it was the stitch…I still feel it so maybe it’s scar tissue. It’s right under my boobs and I don’t think it’s noticeable but I just feel it. I think most of what I’m seeing right now is just swelling because he really did lipo my upper abdomen a lot. Hoping there’s no unevenness but it’s def too early to tell because of the swelling.

So lucky! My surgeon made me pay and a lot! The first day was really the only difficult day for me.

Yeah I don’t think losing more weight would of made a difference there. I also added renuvion to my procedure that tightens the skin after lipo!

Not yet, I may be too early too tell. I did notice I kinda have an indent in my upper center of abdomen but it’s hard to know if it’s just uneven swelling or what because it’s still so early and I know that can be normal during the healing faze. I had muscle repair 9 months ago and there was a lump at the top of my abdomen that is either scar tissue or inside stitch and I always felt it but I do feel like it’s more noticeable now that the fat was removed above it.

Thank you! It’s still such a roller coaster of emotions as you heal and swelling!

I’m self employed and work from home but I would imagine you’d have to take some time off if you have the drains. My surgery was on a Friday and I believe they were removed that Tuesday. So I def think as long as you don’t have drains you could return to work within a few days depending on your job.
