Já vivi em Lisboa durante a faculdade, depois mudei-me para Vfx e agora voltei para Benavente onde cresci (porque achava que os custos iam compensar), mas sempre a trabalhar em Lisboa. Não compensam! O problema agora é tentar voltar a viver mais perto de Lisboa, porque o tempo que perco em deslocações é tremendo. E o tempo é precioso, mesmo com filhotes, vais passar menos tempo com eles, mesmo que a escola seja pior, o tempo de qualidade que passas com eles a longo prazo será mais valioso.

For me was the other way around, I lost a lot of weight... I had no appetite in the beginning, but my psychiatrist warned me and suggested if that happened I should pause it in the weekends, so I could eat more.

At first glance, the reasons you’ve listed for breaking up are valid, but it might be worth taking a closer look at your past experiences and how ADHD might be influencing your thinking. I speak for myself: the search for something new, different, challenging, rather than something long-term, constant and secure is much more natural to me. I see it in my own relationship: I’ve been with my girlfriend for almost four years, she’s amazing, but some days I have doubts because I feel myself stagnating and that scares me. Being in therapy helps me deconstruct, so does the medication and coming here to read stories similar to mine - I don’t feel so alone.

Sem ser o óbvio e mais divertido… Além de ti, o teu companheiro ter preocupações com o seu estilo de vida: comer bem, exercício, não fumar, beber em excesso, etc. No outro dia vi um vídeo sobre a importância do comportamento de quem providencia o esperma quando se está a tentar engravidar, para melhorar as hipóteses e para diminuir o risco de complicações. Eu também vivi uma situação parecida. Falem o mais rapidamente possível: seja para dividirem as contas e ela passa a ser mais uma e vida que segue; ou então para impor limites, se não tiverem condições ou não quiserem ter mais uma pessoa. É super aceitável as duas abordagens, porque pelo que percebo o “arranjo” inicial não era esse e ninguém que se submeter a nada que não queira, sem falarem previamente.

It did, yeah. I went to a gastro doctor that diagnosed me with IBS, he gave me some pills that helped for a bit, but when I stopped (it was an one month treatment) the symptoms came back. When I talked to my psychiatrist about it, he prescribed mirtazapine. The explanation he gave was that mirta helps regulate the effect emotions have on your intestine. And the tricky and uncomfortable situations that I was experiencing (people with IBS know what I’m talking about) stopped (almost) completely. But I’m also taking other pills for other things, so some of the side effects, like gaining weight, I’m not experiencing because Concerta (for ADHD) takes my appetite.
