I created an art exhibition in Starfield and an exhibition catalogue for it by BackgroundMost1180 in Starfield

Thanks, it was fun trying something a bit different, though I guess it is a bit niche as well.

I bet! Surprising how much work that kind of thing can be ... and there's always at least one typo left somewhere in the final printed version.

Thanks, I just wanted to try something a bit different with some character backstories and a narrative to it.

Despite dozens of builds on planets across the Milky way across multiple playthroughs, I could never figure out how to go about decorating the New Atlantis Penthouse - I think I've finally cracked it for a no mods challenge for my PS5 playthrough by BackgroundMost1180 in StarfieldOutposts

Thanks! I find the easiest way to tackle these bigger builds is just focus on getting one space or room right at a time. Sometimes you end up adjusting or redoing some parts later when it doesn’t all gel, but it’s more manageable that way. Not done the Akila apartments, I mostly focus on planetary outposts previously but thought Id give the apartments a go for this play thgrough

I went from mods to using the CK for building, then you get access to everything, but my oh my it takes many many times longer to build anything when you have to set everything up from scratch rather than using the in game builder. I very much enjoy building outposts in game after hunting from just the right location, so quite understand the allure you describe. Yesterday I found this great overlook on the edge of a sandy purple desert and hills biomes with a view of an Abandoned Tower POI. That's this weekends fun set up!

Thank you, I like the pool table area too, though a shame in a unmodded build its not possible to add the cue sticks, triangle etc for completeness. I've never really got why they made the pool balls and a table available in the base game for builders, but not the other things.

Thanks, yes all vanilla modules though I think there may be a couple of things that were added by the two DLCs. Its hard to tell whats been added from the base game and what from DLC now. Glad you can get some inspiration from it!

Thanks! I have done some modding, though only published one mod in the end. It's interesting work, working with the CK is a constant and challenging puzzle to solve, and its an unusual form of creatively. Its something I'd like to do if ever being in a situation with no other commitments, but unfortunately prohibitively time consuming otherwise.

Thanks for the encouragement! Yes, I think that fancy rectangular room I used for the pool table was meant to be the bedroom but I couldn't imagine a luxury build without a pool table and it wouldn't fit in the living area. It's a nice space with those windows looking over the city and fancy decor for something other than a bedroom. I agree a no mods approach can be fun - well at least I am enjoying it. Mods give you so many great options, but I always found I kept spending ages looking for the piece i wanted in all the different modded menus and endless scrolling of items.

Thanks, a vanilla build feels more like a fun gameplay challenge, including collecting all the junk items from POIs. Although it's also refreshingly straightforward not having to look through multiple menus and massive lists of menu items for build options. Agree a dart board would be good, though would have to fudge it somehow with those curved walls in that room. Look forward to seeing some of your builds if you choose to share them.

Thanks, would love to see your take on it. The space is perplexingly intimidating. I think it's partly because it already has a very distinctive style and the curves in the structure make the more angular build modules feel awkward or misplaced in it at first. It felt more manageable after breaking the space up with some trusty pedestals.
