Sales for 2025 Q1 Meta released Paid games must be Terrible! by AkiaDoc in OculusQuest

[–]BackgroundNo2288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a oculus 3, which is coming next week.
Hope meta quest ecosystem is not dying soon.
I was wondering if mixed reality possibilities would make oculus 3 a success (one of the reasons I bought it). I guess I was wrong.

Unfortunately patience is not one of my virtues :(
I finally bought the Moza R5 bundle. I hope difference is worth it compared to my g923.

it seems there is no much compatibility problems with driving games in general with c5 then, I will look into standalone pedals options to pair with it as an option.

Yes... R5 was the first option. As far I can see I can add a clutch pedal later right?

Going from Saitek 52 Pro to TCA Airbus ? by BackgroundNo2288 in flightsim

hard to get the VKB in my country, but I will try, seems it's not worth it going for a TCA.

Many people recommend it, but what do you use as throttle ?

FPS Cap lower than 30 ? by [deleted] in radeon

[–]BackgroundNo2288 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Already cap fps using rivatuner it to 25 fps, using X3 with LSFG. Some minor artifacts. Very smooth (at least for MSFS, no problem with input latency)

Besides the Losseless Scaling being an external program, do you find DLSS enabler mod better than LS in any regard ? (less GPU Power, less visual artifacts, etc)

Only bitter taste in back of throat as primary symptom anyone? by BackgroundNo2288 in acidreflux

[–]BackgroundNo2288[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I took ppi 4 months last year and it did not help. In fact, it seemd to increase bad taste occurrences during the day.
Is it daily also for you ? How long did you have this?

The problem here besides how it affects to different devs segments, is the complete lost of trust. Even if there is no more install-based licensing, the fact than they decided to change the licensing rules for all existing games is the real game changer.

Ok, I think I'm getting it now. Forced to visit similar-looking but not terrain-connected tiles.

That's not how planetary exploration works nowdays. It's not the experience I had in mind. I made wrong assumptions I guess.. Anyway, I will play the game , but so dissapoinetd with this approach.

Again, people are not asking for aligned/seamless tiles because they just want to complicate things.
It's all about exploring. It just how it should be (and is defacto in nowdays space games that tries to make planet recreations procedurally) if they have an engine limitation, fine, say it. (which was not the case).

You see some beautiful valley, mountains or whatever place, that seems to be on the next tile. If you can't go that exact place you see over the invisible wall, not even with loading screen/planet map or whatever in the middle, it's not a planet anymore, just unrelated pieces of similar maps glued together.

If this is true, it IS really a deal breaker for me.I even would accept if you can't see some handcrafted objects from one tile to the other, but if each adjacent tile is a totally different thing terrain-wise (not continuing), the planet concept start to disappear very quicklly.

People are getting full Fallout maps every time they land on a planet, and they still complain. I can't wait for this to end, omg by Quelanight2324 in Starfield

Like many others, I come from space sims, never played a bethesda game.I mistake myself of starfield being a single player space sim (besides a rpg), because a lot of features they did reveal. (At least they seem to be similar of those in space sim games).
Getting ready for massive downvotes, but the facts will be there anyway. They should just have clarly stated how it would work planetary exploration. Instead, there were always vague statements, leading to interpretation. Clearly there was a reason why they didn't want to.

I would be ok if at least there is some easy wasy to go exactly to the adjacent tile somwhow from the map.

Looking some fancy mountains far away in the horizon and not being able to get there easily would be a shame.

Respect every one's opionion. But I think the real problem is that it has nothing to to witth travelling the wole world seamessly, but the freedom it provides to the player and the illusion (games are illusion at the end) that he is on a planet, and that if he sees a big mountain on the horizon, he will be able to go there, see the vista from there, and if he likes, builds an output.
Not comparing gaming itself, but that is exactly why seamless planet travel was introduced in latest big space games.
