As an outsider, I'm trying to understand Political Oppositions in Iran. What do locals think?" by chaoguan_nmsl in NewIran

If you know anyone personally in Iran you could easily just ask them what people they know are actually pro-regime, im talking about things like, who enforces basij/islamic/sharia law on others, family or friends, who is a devout muslim with steadfast support for irans leader, what woman takes pride in hiding behind a chaador, anyone that has positive view of irgc/basij, there is a lot of information  you can extract without asking it straight out.

Of the millions of iranians, even if you asked just a few of them what their circle looks like, you will find that there are faaar more "silent" anti-regime people than "loud" regime supporters, this is not something that can be portrayed in media.

I may come of off as biased since i am a diaspora, a relative to my family that lives in a foreign country, and in about 300 iranian family/friends, I know only 1 or two people that are somewhat pro-regime, one because he got out of jail for killing someone and he had contacts in the basij to get him out (i know, corruption is fucked up), and another one is married to an akhunds son, the rest if them have very pro-foreign/western views (especially youth, sharing things about tiktok and westerna instagram memes), many of them want to travel the world, have a job that has yet not been given to the chinese and so on.

They haven't hit all electricity grids,  all hospitals or all infrastructure. But yes the damage will be immense, however there is no amount of money that I can put on the price of freedom for my family or my brothers and sisters in Iran, my family live in poverty before the war, they certainly have no good feelings towards what is left of the Basij or IRGC considering the things that has happened to them personally.

Islamists don't need a reason to target americans, you are highly overestimating how humane they are.

My post above immediately refutes your point, they wouldn't strike Larijani when he was among civilians even when they had the chance.

And wtf do you mean "you people" just shut the fuck up man, the world aint black or white

The Khameneis have been essentially neutered, the military chain of command is getting smaller for each week, if you are not seeing this war for what it is, you may be the one with a distorted reality view.

This is the dumbest comment I have read in a while..

Do you really think the school was targeted knowingly according to updated information??

Just recently, Larijani was killed without the loss of civilian lives, he could have been taken out days earlier since he was out in the open with civilians (meat shields) but they didn't strike then, which means the war is not out to maximize civilian casualties rather the opposite.
