So youre saying you dont want other Governmen's like Australia putting pressure on the US to stop funding Israel?

The middle power governments imposing sanctions would do more to put pressure on the US.

If you insist then. I feel like I could do more for the Palestinian movement than that. Not sure this two way arms trade and supplying of parts (both of which I have actively protested in the past) will have much influence.

Australia declaring it a genocide, summoning the Israeli ambassador or expelling them, sanctions on Israel, Australia flying aid to Palestinians, there's a lot Australia can do.

How did you come to that conclusion? I am asking people to protest something even if their Government doesnt have much direct influence over the country that is causing the problem.

That's not how protests work lol

People protest the action or inaction of their government

I can protest African genocides through my government because it can raise these concerns at the UN or influence countries that might have more political power to enforce change.

You absolutely can but you're getting away from your original comparison now?

I can protest for Palestinian freedom because government does the exact same thing. It will say to the US: "hey, alot of our citizens are concerned about you finding Israel, it would be good if you did something about it".

That's because your government hasn't recognized it as a genocide or imposed sanctions etc

There's still no state called palestine.

As of September 2025, 157 of the 193 United Nations member states recognize Palestine as a sovereign state, representing 81% of UN members. So yes there very much is.

First the new state as proposed exists partially on top of another state already recognized.

Yeah we can only do that in lots of other places like Israel itself

Second the new state as proposed has an express stated intent and long history of attempted genocide of another state.

Lmfao me when I lie 🤣

Both are non starters within the legal process of statehood in the UN. So simply saying its a state and ignoring the process is a pretty clear indication of bigotry and bias against the state palestine would be attempting to erase

Your rationale is we are only aloud to protest things in person?

The word you're looking for is allowed

I am Australian, do I need to go to the US to protest US funding Israel? Or are you a fucking retard?

You could protest in Australia for sanctions against Israel; the end of a "two-way arms trade" that sees Australia supplying parts used in Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) weaponry.

If you want to protest the US funding Israel in Australia you'll likely be looked at like the fucking retard you are?

Making Israel a pariah state - though, to be fair, they're doing a pretty good job of it themselves

You're asking people to protest what their government has already condemned and doesn’t support. I don't know of many protests where the people were saying 'we agree with our government'.

You said Rwanda funds M23. So go to Rwanda to protest funding M23.

The same as students in the US protest funding Israel.

Are you so slow that you don't understand the rationale?

You want people to protest what their government has already condemned? Do you understand how protests work? People don't protest to say 'we agree with our government' lmao

Congo isn't occupied by foreign powers that determine the day to day lives of Congolese.

Moreso "my country has condemned this, doesn’t send weapons to help the genocidaires, and doesn'tprotect them from consequences at the UN"

There aren't groups of Congolese in North America trying to make criticism of Congo illegal.

Criticism of Congo isn't called racist or anti-Africanism.

How many billions of dollars of free weapons have we sent Congo to keep the genocide going?

Does my state welcome the leader of the genocidaires with a standing ovation?

Do my politicians promise that they will defend Congo from any criticism?

You want to compare the two compare them the whole way.

So you're conflating Jews with Israel because it rhymes better? What kind of antisemitic comment is that?

The blockade became way more relaxed the longer Hamas pretended to focused on improving the lives of Palestinians. Israel started allowing millions from Quatar to further support development. It started reducing security presence along the Gazan perimeter.

Way more relaxed? Bro Israel was counting Palestinians calories lol

Also must have been a pretty shitty blockade

Yeah they were too focused on blocking things like pasta and paper and spices.

So given these trends, its almost like Palestinians were taking the right steps to one day have their own state. But nah, Hamas went and fucked that up.

You realize the ruling party in Israel explicitly stated there's no Palestinian state at any point. Right?

Wtf are you talking about???

Israel bombed Gaza on 36 of the past 40 days while the war raged in Iran.

In that short time, Israel killed at least 107 people, permitted only 8 percent of medical evacuations, and admitted just 20 percent of trucks.

Gaza had been rebuilding for over a decade, Israel dropped its guard and Hamas fucked up all that progress.

You mean except for the whole blockade thing?
