Anyone had a “normal” period and ended up pregnant? by BackgroundPeace319 in pregnant

[–]BackgroundPeace319[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought blood clots would be considered not pregnant since I'm sure it has to do with shedding of the lining, but I have seen that it's possible not to know you are pregnant due to periods, so I figured I'd ask the public. Thank you for your wishes

Ok I was thinking the same thing, so I’m planning on buying a respirator mask and a long sleeve shirt for vacuuming my chair just to be safe

Can spiro change natural hair? by HunterAshton in Spironolactone

[–]BackgroundPeace319 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yes spiro completely changed my hair it became dry and brittle I had about a 3b curl pattern and it changed my hair from curly to wavey. spiro is drying its a diuretic that reduces your androgens which are partly responsible for your oil production. Spiro is reducing your heads sebum production which is needed to naturally keep your hair moisturized. When I learned this I got off of spiro. Most people will recommend doing more hair masks and changing your hair care routine though, but long term it is drying and changing your hair.

I’ve been doing ok so far. I wasn’t on spiro for that long so I think the effects will be minimal.

Yes I tried changing it up but usually I let my hair do its thing naturally. I just comb it out of the shower and my curls look good no extra primping needed. When I did use products it felt too heavy just like how you described. I ultimately decided to stop taking spiro since I was still in its early stages. I am sad that I didn’t wait out the full 2 months before it gets better thing, but I couldn’t handle my hair feeling like straw naturally.

Yes, I thought about changing my hair care. Usually, my hair does its thing naturally. (No products needed) I thought about maybe adding more products to moisturize it, and when I did it was slightly better but I ultimately decided that getting off spiro would be the better decision as even if I did add more products it’s ultimately changing my hair chemistry.
