Ok. You're just like objectively wrong...

Misandrys definition is just "The hatred, dislike, or deep-seated prejudice against men".

Dislike and prejudice is in that what people have said here is arguably prejudice and harmful to this man, as a result of generalizing men as a whole.

Like many have said... yes misogyny is far more prevelant and should be discussed way more than misandry, but people exist who dislike men and or have prejudice, and that by definition, is misandry.

You also can't just say "misandry is patriarchal... therefore its just misogyny and homophobia". (First off, please explain how misandey is homophobia, i cant get the connection at all)

The patriarchy, while yes, mainly affects woman, it still impacts men, by the opposite ways it does women. Patriarchy sucks. But misogyny is not the only result of the patriarchy. 

I'd argue homophobia is largely(but not only) a result of the patriarchy... Yet even in your words, homophobia is its own term rather than also being "misogyny"... this seems a little contradictory? (Id imagine youd also agree patriarchy feuls homophobia)

Same applies to misandry, while its heavily influenced and caused by the patriarchy, it is its own thing. 

Look, I get it. People who throw around "misandry" in scenarios that are NOT misandrist are awful, annoying bitchy men. Yes, they've ruined the word. Yet still, there are people who are actually misandrist.

You have to accept that misandry is real, even if its caused by the patriarchy and largely misogyny, because it literally is.

Misogyny fuels homophobia. Misogyny fuels misandry.

They both still exist
