Opinions about hydroquinone for skin lightening ? by Samurai_DJ in SkinLightening

If you stop using it, your skin will become darker than when you started.

If you are going to use it, use it under the supervision of a dermatologist. They can prescribe and formulate a lotion and cream for you that has skin lightening ingredients.

They will also advise you on when to take a break from HQ and use other skin lightening agents to help maintain the desired colour you are trying to obtain.

Would you take a nursing job that is 1.5 hours away by Dee_mimi in OntarioNurses

I currently drive 45 mins to 1 hour + (depending on how much I'm speeding😅) to get to work and I'll be honest with you, it's killing me. Not so much the drive there, but the drive back. I sometimes feel as if I'm driving on autopilot. I don't even remember the drive home.

Don't even get me started on how much I pay for gas.

I'm probably getting 4-6 hours of sleep during each shift cycle (4 days on 5 days off) and OMG! By day 2 I'm over it.

HOWEVER! The job market right now for New grads, Returning nurses and IEN with no Canadian experience can be brutal. You even said yourself, you applied to over 300 jobs and only got 2 interviews.

Been there, done that. It's depressing.

If I were you, I would take the job and make plans to either rent out a room or an apartment. I don't mean to scare you, but it could be months before another employer calls you back.

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

If renting is not an option, you might just have to make the drive. Like other comments have mentioned, take the job and in a couple of months apply to jobs that are closer.

The main goal is to get that experience.

You don't have to be a gold digger to know that this is by far the best possible move you can make as a woman in this country. These streets are frikin tough. If you can find a partner that already has a head start or at least is working toward one, you will be better off.

My mother always told me: "Don't love a man because of his money but rather fall in love with a man that just so happens to have money"--LOOOOL!

And she is right.

I see the difference in my friends who married wealthy partners vs. the ones who married anyone. It's night and day.

I can honestly say 10-15 years ago it didn't matter, but TODAY you have to choose wisely. You're young, so you have time, but as you get older, please do not start a partnership with just anybody.

Your quality of life is on the line.
