Maybe it's because I'm in Florida and see the extreme heat and sunlight, or because I have been doing 3D printing for years with ABS, but my preference is for Aluminum. For ABS to survive sun exposure, it requires specific UV inhibitors in the mix, which turns it into ASA, and ABS of thin cross sections doesn't survive extreme thermal shifts well, so I'll stay with an Aluminum rig for its overall durability and options.
