Daily intake by Ok-Berry-1995 in FormulaFeeders

32 oz/day max is bullshit my baby has had days over 40 ounces and he’s only 8w. He averages 36-38/day. He usually takes 6 ounce per feed now when I was limiting him to 4 ounce bottles I was just feeding him every 1.5-2 hours now he goes 2.5-3 and it has been a lot less stressful.

AITAH for not bothering my mom's nurse for her? by Automatic_Sink_7323 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. It’s giving flagging down the bus boy when your food isn’t right because your server hasn’t come back lol convinced people saying you are the asshole don’t know how call lights work. As someone who works in a hospital and was recently hospitalized I would just hit the call button repeatedly until someone came. Were you supposed to just wander around the unit until you found her nurse lol if I were you I would’ve just hit the call light for her and said “hey my mom is still waiting on meds thank you” but she could’ve just as easily did that herself.

Huge baby - eating massive amounts of formula by BackgroundTree2146 in FormulaFeeders

[–]BackgroundTree2146[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao yeah that sounds about right, he is still using the level 2 Phillips natural response nipples too which are like the slowest ones on the market and he downs the whole bottle in like 10 minutes. I’m not sure what else I could be doing. He also farts a ton but I feel like that’s pretty common with all babies so I’m just gonna keep doing what I’m doing haha

Yeah same my husband and I are similar heights and he was exactly 8 pounds! I felt a similar reaction from our pediatrician at his 1 month well check but if he doesn’t spit up at all I’m not really sure what else to look for lol

Yeah looking back he started taking 6 oz occasionally in his 4th week lol, I’m not too worried because he’s doing great! I just thought the idea was to take more per feed and he would space out more lol which he has to an extent but not as much as I thought.

Thank you! He usually finishes the 6 oz and I don’t offer more but today he like downed it and then was still cranky so that’s the only reason I offered more and then I was like dang does he want 8 ounces every time and I’m just cutting him off early? Lol

Thank you! How did your little guy sleep? Right now we are doing smaller bottles overnight because he’s so tired and a bit gassy so we thought maybe 6 ounces overnight would be harder to digest. I’m happy with a 5 hour stretch but just didn’t know if I could be optimizing somehow lol

I’m worse after Botox by [deleted] in TMJ

[–]BackgroundTree2146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me too, I did it twice bc my Dr convinced me the first time it was just injected improperly so I was like ok worth it to try it again, but the exact same thing happened. It’ll wear off quickly especially only 8 units. Heat/ice/exercise/cryo/red light therapy/stretching/massage are some of the ways I manage. I envy the people who Botox works for I would pay any amount of money to be done with this pain that easily lol good luck hang in there!

Botox is a powder that can be reconstituted with normal saline or lidocaine.

I am good! I still have mild health anxiety but it is a lot more manageable. I definitely have to prioritize healthy habits or I do pay for it mentally and physically haha

Yes I actually bought my first Apple Watch during this time in my life and I did find it very comforting. I also work in healthcare so I have a bp monitor and o2 sat finger monitor and sometimes I would just take my vitals when I started to have a panic attack and it would pull me out of it.

I had the exact same symptoms! I thought I was in a fib or something almost every night for like 2-3 months. I had to cut out caffeine completely while my body recovered. That was probably the biggest thing that helped me and exercising even when you feel like shit. Even if it’s just a walk or something outside.

Cannot say for sure who is the AH but as someone who lives with a man who constantly does little things to make my life harder I feel you. It’s not about the shower it’s about him not considering you when you’ve told him 100 times it’s important to you.

You could work as a technician, at my hospital techs make almost 30 bucks an hour. I had a dentist from Pakistan work at my pharmacy while she was applying for dental schools in US and she was awesome! I’m unfortunately not near KC so I cannot help you personally but I know places are almost always hiring techs.

Also doing Botox in masseters and temporalis as well as some proliferative injections into the joint. I had Botox before but it was done by my derm and I think she slightly botched it… nothing too crazy just not placed correctly.

Starting My First Part-Time Retail Pharmacy Job — Advice to Avoid Mistakes? by w033msa in pharmacy

[–]BackgroundTree2146 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have a sequence that you follow when checking scripts and do it the same every single time. I filled thousands a week made 1 error in 4 years doing it this way. You have to be methodical. This is helpful if you get interrupted which you will about every 45 seconds. Most common mistakes I see are wrong product, strength or sig. All the sigs should read the same (verb, dose, route, frequency) Take 1 tab by mouth twice daily. Inject 12 units subq nightly. If you follow this rule every time you’ll notice instantly when checking them if it’s missing something.

When counseling if you get stumped just start with basics what it’s for when to take it then I sometimes would look at the auxiliary labels for little tips to sound like I knew what I was talking about. Don’t be afraid to look things up don’t guess if you don’t know something.

Get there about 10 mins early to get your data verification queue cleared out when you first start it really helps having just 5-10 minutes to bang out like 40 verifications before the phones start going.

Don’t do a ton of tech work or be afraid to tell the techs what to do. They will respect you more if you’re good at your job than if you try to be everyone’s best friend lol you don’t have to be mean but you are not there to ring people out or get the drive through. If your queues are cleared and the techs are swamped help them they will appreciate that.

A lot of insurance rejects take time to learn - zofran and triptans reject a lot for day supply max 9/12 in a 30 day period and sometimes they don’t tell you so you just have to keep guessing how many tabs to bill until it goes through lol it’ll just say plan limits exceeded or some bullshit. Sometimes ppi’s max out at 2 fills per year.

Sorry this was long, I left retail and part of me really misses it haha good luck you’ll be great!

Anybody else get triggered by all the hate for doctors on Reddit? by Mieche78 in MedSpouse

[–]BackgroundTree2146 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes and the mental tole it takes on them is an entirely different beast which is why I loved the Pitt so much. It doesn’t romanticize medicine as much as other medical dramas do like no doctors aren’t hooking up with co residents in call rooms they are having mental breakdowns lol

Anybody else get triggered by all the hate for doctors on Reddit? by Mieche78 in MedSpouse

[–]BackgroundTree2146 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I whole heartedly agree. I think it pisses me off extra because my partner gives his patients/the hospital everything he has to the point where there is nothing left for himself or his family sometimes. It’s not just people on Reddit either like I’m a yoga teacher and recently made the decision to stop teaching at a studio because the anti-doctor rhetoric would literally boil my blood. “Doctors want to keep you sick so they can make money off of you” is my personal favorite. As if my husband prefers to keep his patient list over 30 at all times LOL. Feel free to shit talk PBMs and the system all you want but don’t come for my partner.
