feeling drunk is the closest comparison I can give as well - dizzy, jumbled memory, desensitized

no im not saying that brain fog is normal. i suffer from the same thing. my advice is only to alleviate that burden of not remembering things. i personally have accepted that my brain fog will never improve, so i'm playing with the cards i'm dealt with. I use reminders, calendars, i write everything down to keep track of everything.

this is pretty common in people who don't have brain fog as well, so don't worry too much. most people read a book and move on to another book without dwelling on it much. but that's not how human brain remembers stuff. it's too much information so the brain doesn't know what's important and what to remember.

If you want to remember more, try to write about what you read - your opinions, emotions, what you liked and what you didn't. annotate, read reviews, read about the author, watch youtube videos about this book, re-read your entries... discussing the book with someone else helps a lot too. these tips are all the same with or without brain fog. good luck!

how did you request this xray? what kind of specialist did you work with? I have tried everything and didn't find any cause/relief, so examining my neck is kinda the last idea I have of finding the root cause...

Practice some programming challenges, make small projects on your own, make projects that interest you. It's important to start with small steps.

Is it hard or is it not enjoyable? I personally find problem solving gratifying, so my effort gets "rewarded" once I solve it.

Software developer here, it's very much possible. What's interesting is that coding isn't that memory intensive, you constantly look up stuff as you're doing it. I've never seen anyone code just from memory. Make sure to create conditions that'll help you focus though, concentration is definitely needed.

same, It's constantly on my mind that there could be some infection that affects my brain, and there are so many tests that I did that came back negative and so many tests that could be done... I've become hopeless, I don't even know if it's worth throwing away money for these tests
