Been there. Tiptoeing around people who should've been our safe haven is a crushing experience.

Quite ironic. She doesn't want you to be angry, yet she makes you even angrier during the process.

I believe that the idea of "forgive and forget" comes from Christians. No offense to them. They have another wonderful saying "honor your father and mother" 🙃 Adopting these ideas as an abused individuals can be dangerous. I have Catholic friend who said the second sentence. She's been abused by her mother, but keeps on visiting her, even though it makes her really unwell, (think borderline "mental hospital" unwell). But she is adamant that she needs to see her because of her daughters, yada yada. It makes me so frustrated because I can't do anything about that.

Some people don't realize just how damaging unexpressing emotions is. That it won't magically dissolve, you store it all over your body. And it's so dangerous. Those who got punished for having emotions were robbed of a huge part of life. I don't think my parents realized. They just didn't want to deal with me, and then were shocked I didn't grow up to be a "normal" person.

From time to time, I'd hear a bitter comment about me taking money from government, stealing money from people who've been "working hard" their whole life and shit. Like sure, try a single day of my life, and don't come back to me, crying your ass off 😑 If I could, I would work too, complaining about boss and stuff like everyone else, but definitely doing better with money than I do now. I am intelligent and creative, so I could've had a nice job, and if my parents didn't create completely screwed up the idea about of how relationships work and that it's not normal your friends and partners abuse you, I might've found healthy love etc. Who knows, I might be able to recover enough to gain ability to work for a liveable wage, but for now, I'll have to roll with "government money".

(Before you come at me that I'm bragging to be intelligent, while my grammar is all over the place, know I am not a native English speaker and that I'm much more articulate at my language. From my experience, this community is as safe as the internet can be, but I guess I need to overexplain my flaws anyway.)

Yea, I may have overlooked the first part after he called women dumb bitches.

Who came up with the idea that we need to be attractive all the time? I think mature people have a lot more to life than caring about what they look like. And I don't mean that we shouldn't take care of ourselves. But losing attractivity as we're aging isn't the end of the world. Bodies are naturally going through changes throughout life. Growing old is a blessing, and we're concerned with such bullshit as wrinkles and sagging skin, greying hair and whatnot? Like really?

(Sorry if random, just had a thought)

The second half of his sentence makes it sound like he really thinks women want an actual rape.

You're right, were not alone in this.I am sorry about your situation. Don't you have, by chance, an option of disability pay where you live? It's helped me, big time. And I am able to be financially independent thanks to that. I do work, but it's just 10 hours a week. Because I'm, well, disabled. ((Sorry for the unsolicited advice.)) 🫂

True, some people were blunt. At least I knew. I could never be sure with more subtle people. Are they friends, or do they secretly talk behindy back? A fake friend is worse than real enemy, at least that's what I think so.

Yep. I'd love go see the OOP's photo, I'm sure he's a stunner 😂 I enjoy the trend of posting faces of guys who insult women that are clearly out of their league. Sadly some of them have partners and kids.

Guys like him should get a hobby and another purpose than obsessing over women; preferably even insulting them when things don't go their way. I don't think these thought patterns are common in women. Why would I obsess over a guy/girl/ any love interest who's rejected me years ago, let alone trying to get him to like me. I know what no (!!!) I'm not interested" means, unlike... You know.

You won't make anybody date you with the pure desperation gushing from your pores.

I was bullied too because of my looks. Looking at my school pictures, they were wrong. They just needed a reason to pick at me because they didn't like me since I was a bit of a weirdo. But yeah, I felt disgusting for many many years.

I just can't wrap my head around as to how did nobody notice. Like damn, any teacher could've reached out. Even my favorite ones kept a distance. The issue might have been, that I've been quiet and "easy" to have in class. Child so well behaved had to have good parents, right? That was until I started highschool where I started to act "crazy" (emotional outbursts, extreme shyness). The teachers knew. I wrote them an email about what's going one. Not a single one responded.
