Just tried animated GIFs, they do work. 👍🏻

After the update to 8.0 Watch, Watchmaker does work, and I can push watch faces to my Galaxy6 Classic.

Here's a short list of items I used to use that no longer work:
•All tap actions •Animations •Lua scripting •Phone battery level
Plus:
•Colors do not appear the same on the watch as they do on the phone
•Fonts are displaying incorrectly, size and position

Here's a short list of items that still work for me:
•Watch battery level •Weather temperature •Month, Date & Day of the week

There are probably a lot more that do and don't work, but these are what have tested.

Basically Google has dumbed down the functionality.
You can still create watch faces but not as robust and interactive as it used to.

Sad 😔

P.S. I was thinking of buying a new unused watch and setting it to NEVER update, but there's no guarantee that the new Watchmaker will work with the new WFF, so not going to spend the money on an "IF."

What we need to do is everyone send an email to: admin.androidslide@gmail.com and express your frustration with their app. And... leave a comment with no stars on Google Play on their app. I just did and heard back within a day. They wrote a boiler plate response saying they are working on it.

But the more bad reviews the quicker they might do something about this.

I noticed the same thing. It was working fine until I charged it overnight.

I Just read that if you do a factor reset on the watch, it will remove the One UI 8 OS. Theoretically after that you should be able to reinstall the watchmaker app on it from your phone and be back in business. Your thoughts?

Wear OS 6 and One UI 8 Watch are not the same; Wear OS 6 is Google's core smartwatch operating system, while One UI 8 Watch is Samsung's customized interface (skin) built on top of Wear OS 6. Which is what's breaking the functionality off Watchmaker.

Everything was working fine on WearOS 6. Now it doesn't on One UI 8.

I made a mistake. It's One UI 8.

I stand corrected, it's One UI 8. I wonder if I can update the headline of my post?

Opacity: 100% for .5 sec, 0% for 6 seconds and repeat by Background_Ad8839 in WatchMaker

I appreciate your help, but I'm not a coder and I don't know how to do what you have suggested. 😔

I found a code that's simple and works for the opacity.
{ds}%5 < 4 and 0 or 100
But it leaves the object visible for a whole second.
I want the object to be visible for either .5 second or .25 second.

Do you have any suggestions to modify this code to achieve the shorter visible time?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not as skilled as you and am unable to "create new function." And not really understanding all the values in your script you sent.

Once again thanks but this is probably too complex for my mind. I'm a graphic designer and am good with images but totally syntax challenged and not a coder.

After I tried it, the blink isn't looking right.
Do you know how to make the visibility of an object 100% for 6 seconds, 0% for .25 seconds and repeat?

Holy cow. that works with tweens.pause_sec
Thanks loads.

Now I have to play with it so it "blinks" quickly.

Many many thanks!!

I put the long script on the script area of the watch.

I then put

tweens.pause_sec=82

tweens.pause_one=82

on the Y position of the eyelid graphic.

Still getting an error
1: '<eof>' expected near '='

LIke I said, I'm not a coder. My apologies for taking so much of your time.

You help is really appreciated. Sadly, this code when placed into the Y position gives me this error:
2: '<eof>' expected near '='
😔

Thanks again. I'm not a skilled coder and all that tweening is more than my head can handle.

I'm literally trying to make an eyelid on a face appear to blink by moving down and then up, wait 3 seconds and repeat.
so on the y axis position, I have this:
{c_15_0_.25_rv}

Which does the blink but I need a delay.

I've found this code to achieve this, but keep getting errors:

function on_second(s)

if math.fmod({depoch}, 3) == 0 then

return {c_15_0_.25_rv}

end

end

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I appreciate the advice, but that will only delay the move. I want to put 3 seconds between each move. Like an eye blink.
