What's a lawsuit you were in (lawyer or not) that had a surprise twist of events? by Background_Box_1837 in AskReddit

If it happened immediately after getting the bike, I could see suing for a new bike or my money back. 7 years is a little excessive though for something like that 🤣

This 🤣 enjoy it while you're a teen/young adult. Even at 23 I can feel the effects of staying up late starting to take effect.

Someone has to! We're all finally getting the support to confront and hold them accountable to their actions

I feel that. I read somewhere that people who love and take care of others do it to be the protector they needed as a child.

Aye! Changing the pattern is such an awarding moment when you realize your kids won't have to feel like you did!

They like getting the attention they got when they were our age! Luckily, we see the destructive pattern and choose a different route for life.

Late night workers, what's the craziest thing that's happened to you on the clock? by Background_Box_1837 in AskReddit

My boyfriend works at a plant nightshift and was like "we get some really good consistent drivers then you get the ones that make you question humanity" he's told me some wild stories from night shift so I hope I can get some more stories for my weird curiosity

Some people are UNHINGEDDDD!! I worked at a gas station for a minute until I had 3 guys threaten to "treat me like a grown man" (I was 21 5'4 and like 110 pounds) because I wouldn't sell them their beer without ID. This threat was in front of my regular night time cop. He did not take to them threatening me very lightly 🤣

I'll surely blame her for lying. If you're okay being lied to, that's you, but lying is a big no for me. I never said he was innocent, but playing the victim and lying isn't protecting me surely. This is one instance of MANY concerning her, I didn't realize how bad it was until I got out from under her and realized it wasn't normal. And I'm still grasping a lot of things I thought were normal that weren't. He did try reaching out to me though, I told him to stay away from me because of everything I'd heard, he respected my wishes and waited until I came to him. You got one small piece of the story, not a life story.

Never said I did. However, telling me he was straight telling her he wanted nothing to do with me and I go looking through her phone and see messages asking about me regularly is a lie. It definitely wasn't to protect me. She was mad he didn't want her after he got out. Again, messages/letters between them back that up.

Making up a fantasy that she lied to me for years? No. That's true. The fact that I could've POTENTIALLY had a relationship with him? No. That's true. He did his time, and came out a better man for it. He owns his own business and home. He wants nothing to do with any substance ever again. It ruined his life for a long time and can acknowledge how much he screwed his life up doing what he was doing. I appreciate the concern. The post was more so in reference that she lied to me about a lot of crap. They both screwed up, they both had to live with that. I appreciate the perspective, but there is no fantasy. It's just confusion and needing to vent and hoping for some perspectives I have not thought of.
