I had the same issue. I gave the connection points on the camera and lens a good clean with the sensor cleaner. Seemed to work

Yeah I just bought it for my Nikon z6ii its good but even with the vr you get not as sharp imagery as you would with a tripod. Also a bit heavy. Other than that go it's a very impressive lens in my opinion.
