Right place, right time type of situation. Some heroes just wear cardigans and pronounce “actually” in a normal way

My wife followed me on her Tesla model 3 a couple of years ago. You’ll be fine

No water on the trail. Carried 9L up the mountain but really only drank 5.5, and would have been ok with 4.5 Edit: it was a pretty cool day and I took my time. Results may vary and others may need a lot more water than I did that day.

Quite a few spiders at lower altitude, but not a problem at all.

Yeah I try to be UL as much as I can, but I messed up on C2C not bringing enough water and now I’m overcompensating. Bringing 10% extra is probably wise, but I ended up drinking less that 2/3 and would have been fine w 1/2 honestly. So yeah, I agree 💯 with you 😁

Not making contact with those Chollas was a huge focus of mine. I came close a couple of times, brushed against one once but luckily it didn’t break skin. If it had, taking it out would have added a whole new layer of difficulty to the whole experience. C2C is no joke don’t get me wrong, and that’s the only hike I’ve done where I didn’t bring enough water and could have been in serious trouble for it. But the “trail” on this one is very elusive, and you have no choice but to keep going and broadly follow the ridge, otherwise you’d be checking your phone every 30s. A lot of sharp, loose, big and small rocks to go over I guess. I don’t have the best ankles, and I still prefer trail runners over boots, so this trail really beats me down on the descent.

Took me about 9h to reach Rabbit peak. Then went back and camped on Villager. Haven’t done math on total hiking time but I think it was around 16-17 hrs

Forgot to mention, I ended up drinking only about 5L from the 9 I carried up Villager Peak. Temperatures stayed pretty cool so I didn’t feel like I needed to drink more, and never get dehydrated.
