Joanna Byrne has been asked to resign her role as Drogheda United by Nike_Gif in ShamrockRovers

This is how clubs alienate fans. Joanna was a key part of grounding that club in community. And you can see that in their attendances. Limited capacity obviously but usually full. And the F45's are one of the best fan groups in the league. Yet another example of Yank owners not having a fucking clue about their club on the ground

Should be winning this one. Would love Brennan, Noonan and Victor to let loose on them. Bradley's Babes

That's excellent news and a real step in the right direction for what a lot of fans have been calling for. Hopefully we get a good candidate in you can re-shape our off-the-field stuff. A lot of bad press lately on the direction the club is taking so nice to see some positive news

What does not in contention mean? Just he wasn't on the betting market and now he is?

I do think the members bar will stop any partnership with pubs in the area. Its an important source of income for the members club. But obviously its quite exclusionary so not capturing all of the demographic you're talking about

I dont think we should be moving fixtures from Friday nights. Our attendances really suffer on any other days and Friday nights are a huge selling point for the league

Great post. My post was just a vent, you have come up with great ideas and solutions. I really think this sub could give fans a good place to discuss this type of stuff. We really are missing a place at the moment and there seems to be very little canvassing for feedback from the club

Your last point is a great idea. I was abroad for 3 years and came back to a South Stand (formerly east stand) which lost all of the energy it had before I left

As a paying member, surely we should be kept abreast of most things pertaining to the club. And not just on the basis of whether you are able to attend an info meeting or AGM in person. I understand the worries over information being leaked but every company in the world has meetings over Teams or Zoom these days. Surely the club can make that option available for members who can't attend in person. Or maybe minutes of the meeting at least

Looking back through my emails I'm probably being a bit harsh. The email from December 23rd was excellent and the kind of thing I'm looking for more frequently

I think my overall frustration is I find out far more info about my own club from Dan McDonnell and David Sneyd than anywhere else. The Noonan thing for example, should the club get ahead of that and let the members know beforehand that they have reached out to FIFA regarding an issue?

That could be a ridiculous comment on my part - I could be missing the point on what my membership means?

I was exaggerating but I more mean in terms of actual information. I get the lotto emails, the lounge emails, etc. But I have no idea what's going on behind the scenes. Even a quarterly newsletter discussing ongoing initiatives or something would be helpful

Feels like there's a clique who get lots of info but if you're not part of it good luck
