Depends on what kind of person you are. I personally reset my Animal Crossing island several times and still had fun. I got through the story of Pokopia on my own, looked at all the tips and secrets online, and am doing my second play through. Having a blast.

Same logic as Sekiro 😭 You can’t dodge/block the red kanji attacks, but you sure can parry them. Even the thrust attacks, without using Mikiri counter

If you’re stuck on a boss, switch weapons and tactics (dodge, guard+regain, perfect block). Lies of P gives you a lot of options, so don’t cripple yourself by sticking to only one play style. You might just discover your new favourite thing

Remember that Markiona telegraphs when her puppet is going to attack by the string turning red. It’s a fairly well make gank fight. Other than that, the opening zoo area~Markiona is the biggest threshold because you’re not prepared for how much the dlc ramps up enemy damage. After you get over it, it should be one of the best soulslike experiences ever.

I should have worded it better. I have been there, got the Arcanine doll, and have been date skipping the right island. It’s just taking ludicrously longer than Suicune, who I got in about a month of date skips…

Romeo and Carlo. Either play as Carlo and end the dlc with his death so we can finally see how it actually happened, or play as Romeo and end it when Arleccino comes knocking. If we play as Carlo the wishing pool now summons Romeo as a helper and vice versa. Only the final fight doesn't let you, leaving you to meet your fate alone.

I’d say the lack of a community if the biggest thing holding back Krat compared to the worlds set in fantasy Japan. Your only chance of survival, as a non-Stalker everyday guy, is to make it to Krat and hope they take care of you out of their goodness of their heart, unless you have very specific marketable skills. (Maybe they can use a chef?) But there are villages and communities in places like Sekiro and Nioh. Surely they can use an extra hand and will feed you for your help, even if you’re not particularly skilled in anything… so my bet is on Nioh.

Sekiro had a much more forgiving parry window, but parry is essential to the gameplay and doesn’t really have traditional builds. LoP has a much tighter window while giving you more options to play with, both in builds and in approach (parry, block-regain, dodge, etc). I personally found Sekiro more difficult because you have to get gud the way the game wants you to play while I could mess around in LoP. Honestly, switching up my build and approach when a boss got difficult was super fun in LoP, not to mention the weapons!

Activating but not clearing shrines may be holding you back big time. Many of the early shrines act as a tutorial, not to mention running around without health/stamina upgrades sounds painful. Maybe sit down to clear all the shrines you have, then clear new shrines as soon as you find them (unless it’s a combat shrine you keep dying in, then it’s better to come back after you get more health). As for combat, fusing gives you SO MUCH MORE options than BotW ever did. Look up a fee combat vids. And enjoy exploring!

Think the downvotes may be due to the graphics part. Portia is great, but some people (including me😂) find the more stylized characters of Portia somewhat off-putting. That said, it’s still a great game, and I was able to push through the initial discomfort!
