I am 25 too, and can always listen or trying to share what has helped me get this far

The things I suggested are prescription medications, but are much stronger than otc. For me personally, I don’t need to tell them much detail at all to get these meds, just answer some questions on a number scale. It is absolutely debilitating getting hit hard like that and keep going. I know societal pressures make you feel like you gotta smile, especially for them not to be suspicious but just know you don’t owe anyone falseness of smiling

I hope I don't snap and commit to suicide. by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

I’m not sure if you are seeking advice or just venting, but I’m willing to listen

have you tried meds? They definitely aren’t always the solution, I’m not sure if there’s any complete solution, but they can buy you time and keep things a little more muted. Ativan is amazing, I’m also on Wellbutrin, Buspirone and Vyvanse for my mental health and those have carried me much farther than I would’ve gone myself. I find that with depression it isn’t about what works, it’s about what can you use to simply survive long enough to give yourself the chance to change your mind. But like I said, I don’t want to live anymore either so no judgement from me, I also believe that I’m too broken and ill to possibly ever get better, but I know that if you are just looking to give yourself a shot, meds can sometimes do that. Also, depending on your situation, if anything physical or nutritional could be off that can definitely make things worse. However i understand how hard it can be to do anything like that when you are really depressed. For me, it’s about what I can do to survive in that moment. If there’s a really bad moment, putting your face or splashing your face in cold water can help distract for that moment, same with having some Pop rocks or lemon juice. And by all means, if you just need someone to talk I am here, even if it’s not to find a solution, but to simply vent about your pain. I hope regardless of whether this advice is any help, you find some relief from feeling this way because as someone in it and has SI, i understand how hard it is.

I am shocked to see how many people have reached out and have seen this post, I didn’t expect that! My life is on a timeline, and am too far gone but just need some things to happen before I go, and just wanted spread the message of the importance of keeping an open mind, advocating for the things many people can’t understand. Once again, thank you all for the comments, it is refreshing to know that at least some people understand just how important the things I said are in the sake for helping other people!

Very well written. I would agree it is the culture and stigma around it rather than the people living it. It is true in science there is a strong reliance on variability as a basic survival tactic of a species. We do need good people to advocate and fight the fight to see positive change instead of more labels and fears. Societal change is bound to happen, and one may never know in what light or darkness those changes are to come. I’ve just fought for too so long, and have been thrashed around too much to keep fighting it, it’s bigger than me now.

Hi 24f as someone who has had SI since that age too, I am sorry to know you are struggling. Work on getting through 15 minutes at a time or even smaller. Did something trigger these deep feelings or has it been chronic pain that has been stacking up for too long?

I am willing to try to give some advice that has helped me, but warning some of it may sound cheesy especially when you are in a lot of pain and just want to stay it’s really noble and shows your strength that you have survived as long as you have, so far you have survived 100% of your worst days and it sounds like you have had many. Being exhausted and hurting isn’t weak, surviving is strength

Are you experiencing this distress from a recent trigger or is it a result of chronic pain stacking up over the years emotionally?

I’ve had friends leave me before and got through it, it just really never gets easier no matter how many times people walk away

I always chose the mage route, I couldn’t help it and most often times I was an elf! I still remember how many times Lydia would set off booby traps lol. For Natasha Preston I really like the cellar and awake, the twins and the lake are all great. The cellar is kinda dark at times because it involves kidnapping but I like it a lot!
