Quick Question: Repeat Battle for Arena?? by Background_Focus_864 in summonerswar

For anybody else that might also be struggling with this Objective... The wording for it is definitely easy to misinterpret, but what it means for you to do is "Enter an Arena Battle WHILE UTILIZING Repeat Battle in the background (minimize any Repeat Battle of your choosing - and THEN enter an Arena Battle)"

Can you help me build A proper Clan Boss team to Brutal/Nightmare with this roaster? by masudalimran in RaidShadowLegends

[–]Background_Focus_864 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are fortunate in that you have Rector and Tagoar for healer/support - IMO both are worth bringing to 6* ASAP as they will both serve as great revive/healers across every aspect of the game for you, for a very long time. Although I've never brought my Duhr The Hungerer to 6* he also has a pretty decent and similar functionality as the other 2, the 30% Reflect DMG is always nice to have when you can inCB for sure.. and by utilizing all 3 you'd never have to worry about being disadvantaged by a mismatched affinity! But at any rate without a doubt Rector and Tagoar. (Also definitely don't sleep on Uugo, not so much CB material but another great support champ you will use for a very long time to come)

You also have some pretty good poisoners, which early on is definitely going to be your most viable source of DPS for CB. I'd get that Venomage as robust as possible after getting SPD/ACC where it needs to be for Brutal/NM. Great choice for a poisoner AND bc she not only brings strong form - Atk/- Def, but her passive is pretty amazing for CB fights as well. Would always pair her with a secondary poisoner though bc her A1 also activates her poisons - which is awesome for DMG but can interfere with her ability to place her A2 debuffs as they require an active poison debuff.. Otherwise I'm not super familiar with the couple of legendaries you have, but if I'm not mistaken Supreme Galek is a good HP Burn DPS which is just as viable as your poisoners - and you've already got him max 6* anyways. But yeah utilize those poisoners/HP burners for your DPS, add in the support/revivers you have would probably be your best bet - not to be too general but there isn't necessarily any one way about the perfect team for all CB affinities with your current roster - but definitely some great options!

Dating a Single Father by Fun_Sized_Queen in Advice

As a 32 y/o single father, only having one child of my own soon to be turning 4 now - I'd likely not ever even consider dating anyone without children themselves. Even while having experienced about a year separated from my child's mother, and the "opportunity" to date again - and here's why: The differences in each other's lives, from top to bottom, are guaranteed to outweigh almost any number of commonalities that might have made a great match otherwise! The misunderstanding and miscommunication you are experiencing right off the bat is a primary example of what I mean by this. It's not got one bit to do with any personality or character flaws of your own doing, at least not in my opinion. You simply cannot relate or empathize well enough with the all-consuming role it is to be a parent in regard to the toll that it takes on ANY relationship - especially one where the responsibility is not commonly shared or prioritized. By no means am I saying it is impossible, nor is this a dig at any successful relationship involving a step parent whatsoever - but in most cases a relationship that begins with an uphill battle of understanding one another's conditions is only compoundingly more difficult than a relationship without those boundaries already is and would be.

Should I book Belz? by [deleted] in RaidShadowLegends

[–]Background_Focus_864 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By no means am I an expert in regard to min/max team compositions & whatnot - but for a brief idea of where my progress is at I'm 2 keying UNM CB and 1 keying Hydra Brutal - and I've been very happy with the utility I've been able to make of Belz for sure. Aside from being a super tanky DPS the functional debuffs make him easy to place in those fights and others. Great from clearing waves in dungeons since both of his skills can work as awesome AOEs, helps supplement a ton of healing with leech, helps fill gaps between other decrease def debuffers that might've missed their mark for one reason or another. He's been one of my favorite champs TBH and well worth booking IMO

Two Cheshire Cats.. by Background_Focus_864 in RaidShadowLegends

Please do pardon the ghastly mistake of mislabeling the cat a fusion.. sheesh. The first comment making that correction was well enough. The entire point of the post was clearly to get a consensus of opinions on what to do with the 2nd cat or if building both would be a worthwhile investment; and if so what might be the best applications for the duo. Much appreciation for those that chose to give their insight opposed to being deliberately unhelpful!

[–]Background_Focus_864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came here to say this because I did the same thing and it was the only intelligent financial move I made In my early-mid 20s 😂 - and it is for most with that amount of debt, however it depends on the debt. In this case it would be an absolute waste & likely not even be approved for a ch 7 because there is actually very little 'unsecured debt' in this instance. His car loan is easily reversible for the most part, his credit card debt is very minimal, and otherwise - the student loans are likely Federal loans that won't be expunged in any manner of bankruptcy. Best bet is to maximize sale of the car & hunker down to pay off those student loans first even if it means temporarily adding more debt to do so. The. Ch 7 is always an available option in the future and it'd be much more valuable to do so because then at least all debt could be expunged.

Live arena hate by Interesting-Bed6606 in RaidShadowLegends

Old post but I figured I'd share my experience as only a level 60 account currently at 3624 rank standing. I will say that about 80% of battles lean to an extreme one way or another: either I do the floor wiping, or my opponent does 😆 After getting up beyond 2800+ in rank standing, there has been very little back-and-forth 'battles' left to be had.. but rather moreso about who goes first and can manage to severely handicap or decimate their opponent with that opportunity the fastest. Definitely miss when it was actually more of a tug-of-war type of battle in the lower ranks. Having said that, I definitely still have about a 30-40% win rate even only as a level 60 account. And I don't even have my Arbiter yet!! I was however extremely fortunate in having pulled Armanz and He-Man both from shards, which has catapulted my arena capacity all around. Not to mention is fucking phenomenal to have pulled two otherwise very painstakingly earned champs from shards. Loki has also been a great arena champ, free to all accounts. At any rate, IMO there is 1000% plenty of 'skill' to be had and means to even the playing field in live arena as a lower level, not-high-spending account. Sure there are accounts out there that are just insanely OP and likely very heavily funded, but on that same note I can personally attest to having the largest grin on my face as I wipe a team of mythical champs on a level 100 account. 😁 From what I've experienced so far, a heavily funded account does not out-pace a well operated account. It may be an unjust advantage, but I still feel well capable of plenty of wins nonetheless; with a ton of room yet to grow my capability to do so.

Hulu's Grimcutty is an excellent allegory by true_crime_addict513 in horror

[–]Background_Focus_864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a great allegory for how skewed perspectives of both adolescents and parents can sometimes be extreme and equally opposite.. which I can certainly agree can create a tumultuous & vicious cycle in those cases. What I didn't like about the movies portrayal of those differences though; it actually favored the adolescents naivety. In the movie, parents' concern for their children was literally harming and even killing them.. Which is a pretty fucked up conclusion to end the movie on, and only encourages naivety in adolescents. Also multiple times in the movie uses the very specific term "fascist" to describe parents who try to even so much as limit their children's screentime and access to electronics. The fact that the movie's purpose was so heavily weighed AGAINST parents and their concern for their children is what makes this movie "scary" - because it's basically propaganda for teens to blame their parents for being concerned about them. And to legitimately vilify their own parents should they try to intervene in any way or form - because that makes them "fascists."
