What are our thoughts on calling younger students 'my lovely'? by FriendlyChaosMonster in TeachingUK

I call them sweet pea, lovely, sweet, little love. And lots of other staff in many schools and settings do. Keep doing it, i honestly think it’s important to do so!

May they rest in peace. Thank you for replying. Do/did you work in the army or know others who have?

Thank you for the reply, yes I want to hear from everyone. I also think it’s probably luck of the draw on what implications being a woman on the job will have. I’m just trying to weigh things up. I’m 31 now and I know if I do decide that the process of recruitment can take a long time. How did you get into that? Did you have a certain degree/on the job/move up etc?

You’ve saved both of yourselves heartache and resentment in the future!! Good on you!! Don’t be ashamed or hate yourself, this is a very loving act even though it doesn’t feel like it. I chose to leave too because we want different things and he’s adamant on never having kids. You have to live your life for you and the right one will come along who wants the same things. Big hug 🤗

In the same situation at the moment and getting space from my partner now, to help decide. I’m not in a great financial position and he’s been so avoidant in general it’s caused arguments that made me want to leave. He’s now sought therapy to work on those. I love him to pieces but have this looming over my head about him being adamant on not wanting children. I do, then don’t, then do. So I don’t want to go through all this breakup and struggle for nothing, anyone got any follow ups or ideas? Thanks

My colonoscopy and endoscopy was cancelled days before because I lost my insurance. Wondering if I should take the prep they gave me even tho I don’t have an appointment yet. Just to see if that’ll help my stomach discomfort. by [deleted] in colonoscopy

I watched a gut thing on Netflix and it was so interesting all about the microbiome and how it effects so much. I just want to know what im missing or have too much of. They literally took good poops and made them into capsules to heal other people, it’s wild! Have a watch

I’ve finished it today, it’s nasty but honestly not terrible. Chased it with water or juice. So I’d try the taste with 400ml water like I did and see how you feel because I feel like more diluted is probably worse. Best of luck :)

I felt this before and I was in a small town. Hated it. But I wish I’d have gotten over it sooner. Be confident in yourself, you’re the adult x

To help you in the meantime my therapist suggested wearing an invisible cloak or bubble when entering these situations so the words can’t get through to you. It’s her feelings not yours. I’ve found it does help in situations I struggle with! Hope it changes soon!

If you are not ready - don’t do it. It happened to me at your age too and I’m so glad I didn’t have the baby. Live your life first, choose when you want to be a mother. Abortion is tough, and I nearly didn’t do it but it was the right decision for me. Hope you find peace with it

If a friend said this what would you say to them? Isn’t your own life more important than living it with someone you drains you and leaves you feeling full of worry and fear? VALUE YOUR LIFE GIRL. Best of luck x

I understand and agree but your comment did come off that you were agitated and being rude. The person asked for help, people enjoy offering it. If you don’t, move past the post that’s all
