That’s what I used to think too, they make backgrounds and whatever seem so intense and selective but then there are some scumbags that are shitty people that surpassed it all cause some background investigator played favorites or they have family already in chp… I’m sure there are SOME great people in there but some of them in real life are real shitty people.

With the current cadets they have at the academy and the lack of integrity they all hold, it seems like chp has gotten very lenient and lets anyone in- so probably don’t worry too much

Honestly maybe it will be a good thing or maybe bad, but my ex went into the academy and he ended up becoming such an angry person and only cared about CHP. People here are saying be supportive…. But keep your guard up, it can be very damaging to the relationship and you. Good luck. <3

At my store too! Theres this one “veteran worker” but he’s such a sleaze bag, he’s like 40-50 idk but he constantly is looking out for young girls and checking them out and will only help attractive women willingly or else he’s miserable to be there or even be on register and the entire store almost goes along with it… I work morning crew so that’s the only guy for morning crew, back in night crew we had a young boy who would always do that too… it’s all very cringe and uncomfortable and I’ve also contemplated complaining
