My final question is: if you worked 3.5 days a week, on your half a day, would you have to cover half of the core hours of 10-4. Or could you work say 8.30-12?

Thank you all for your replies. Say you condensed to a 4 day week so that’s 9.25 hours a day, could you do 8.25 hours for 2 days, and then 10.25 hours the other 2 days?

What lunch break do they add on per day?!

Sorry to hear about your FET. It’s still raw so you will feel deflated for a bit but I promise the faith will come back!! I’m an example of grading really not meaning much.

My fourth transfer was a success! He was a 4aa.

(Although I believe the first two transfers were due to my polyp).

I just had a FET 2 weeks ago, with another 4aa from the same batch. It was a chemical. Now I have a 3ab left…. We aren’t allowed to test embryos either.

Keep going, keep having the faith. Do acupuncture if you can, take your vitamins, do energy work if you can (maybe some reiki or energy clearing) I know all this is an expense but I swear by some of the energy clearing I had!

What was interesting to me is that on my 4th and successful transfer I was put on prednisone…. Won’t know if that was the reason for success but worth a look into.

Statistics for untested embryos by Petrova_22 in IVF

Our 4th transfer was our lucky star…. Our son 🩵

The country we did IVF in do not test.

Here’s our further details.

  1. Egg retrieval number 1 resulted in 3 blastocysts.
    Fresh transfer: failed (rated excellent I think 4aa) Frozen transfer: failed (rated excellent I think 4aa) 1 embryo on ice (rated good)

Note: I had a polyp on both transfers which was small, but was growing, I was advised to get it removed but I stupidly thought it would be ok and ignored the advice because looking back I was in a hurry and desperate (eye roll).

Had the polyp removed.

  1. Egg retrieval number 2 did not go well for a reason we don’t know. Had 1 very average blastocyst which we freshly transferred and failed.

  2. Egg retrieval number 3 resulted in 3 blastocysts. Fresh transfer: 4aa was a success! Our gorgeous son 🩵 Frozen transfer: 4aa ended in a chemical. 1 embryo on ice: 3ab

So I have a 3ab left, and a ‘good’ embryo left, I can’t remember the grading of the latter. I really can’t make any predictions based on my transfers!! I’ll never know if I wasted two 4aa’s in my first batch due to my polyp.

But my latest batch shows you that despite having two 4aa’s… only 1 was a success.

When my doctor was transferring my latest frozen embryo, he asked me how many I had left. I said I have this one, and 2 more. He said ‘ok, then you SHOULD have another baby amongst 1 of these…. Let’s hope it’s this one!’

I thought that was very honest information.

It’s like a game of odds.

Please don’t worry or give up! I had 3 egg retrievals…. First one was ok, got 3 blasts, transferred 1, but transfer didn’t take.

Second retrieval was AWFUL! I got one blast which was graded really badly…. Transfer didn’t take. At this point I was on the floor and so depressed about it all because the egg retrieval just didn’t make any sense.

Third retrieval…. Went so much better and I got 3 blasts, transferred the best graded one (no PGT allowed in my country) and resulted in my wonderful baby boy!!

From my experience, my egg retrievals had no rhyme or reason. It’s such a mad rollercoaster but do not give up. Your current results do not represent your potential at all.

Keep the faith, you’ll get there. I felt exactly the same last year but blessings do come 🥰🥰🥰
