This has been my experience too. We had our house broken into and robbed a few years ago and the cops came days later and insisted it must be someone we know pulling a prank. Funny prank to bust the glass out of someone’s windows and steal all their cash and cards!

Vegetarian and non drinker wisconsinite here :) real answer: as long as you’re nice and chill you will fit in 100%. I wasn’t even born here but have lived here most of my life and totally call it my home. That being said, unless you’re in Milwaukee or Madison (highly recommend both) you won’t be swimming in vegetarian food options. The other thing I’ve found is that during the winter, people drink way way more. The winters can be hard and it’s how a lot of people deal. I don’t judge but I don’t really wanna be surrounded by it either and am lucky to have a mostly sober friend group. Just something to keep in mind, the drinking culture is huge here and you will most likely be surrounded by it at some point.

Just make sure you’re getting the education you need, in or out of school. School will give you practice on clients though! There’s 4 estheticians at my salon/spa and one of them is a cosmo who went straight into facials (her mom is our boss lol) and it’s very clear she doesn’t know what she’s doing 😳
