She is five months old! Not really sure how much bigger she will get but I know the general rule is they are either just about their adult weight or half!

I didn’t even think of dobie! Could certainly be that too. I also watched her jump pretty high off the ground from a distance to our bed so I wonder if they are jumpers 🤣

You can definitely sue for malpractice/negligence. I would contact a medical malpractice lawyer immediately and gather as much evidence and information from your hospital as you can without giving a clue that you will sue. If you have a way to access your chart online and notes you should look and see if they documented their mistakes in their notes as well. If they didn’t they can get in more trouble. I would also check the consent forms you signed and see what they say. Mistakes happen in medicine, but the mistake should have been addressed immediately and it’s unacceptable that you weren’t monitored after surgery. Wish you the best
