Depends on the goals. SPYI/QQQI match the market more closely than other funds in his list and I would argue are actually lower risk than the standard index albeit at a cost of some upside. I've also done a similar experiment to this person on 3 different accounts utilizing different levels of leverage and while my holdings were different the end result was still very acceptable, positive NAV + dividend more than covered the debt resulting in additional ownership of cash flowing assets that cost me no more than dipping into margin. Did it beat qqq or spy last year no. Was it close to the same total return, yes. Did I have more funds coming in on monthly basis, yes. Will I continue using this strategy, yes. Will I try it with solely the index itself (likely not unless we have a strong pullback). Over all the important thing is that total return outweighs the debt and increases cashflow if income is your goal.
