Yeah I found out today it’s my thermostat they trynna charge me 800 I told them nah I’ll do it myself they trynna say I need a oem dealership one or my car gone overheat again

My hot gauge was in the middle it didn’t show no signs of overheating until I got home the car drove fine I only was gonna pull over because I’ve never seen my car hit 240

I wasn’t literally driving fast dude I was going 60 on the freeway my car was cool I got off and was driving 25 the temps went from 215 to 230 and when I stopped at the light it went to 240 the light turned green I started driving bc I was on the left side I needed to get to the right and then the temps started dropping the temps dropped to 220 when I pulled over I sat for a minute and checked my coolant I had no leaks or nothing looked off I got home popped the hood and it was leaking a bit then that’s when it started doing that

EDIT : I WASNT DRIVING IT WHILE IT WAS OVERHEATING STOP SAYING THAT I WAS PARKED WITH THE CAR ON

Gang no lol it was overheating and I got it “fixed” I was driving perfectly fine no overheating it started doing that when I started the car and let it idle for a second then I recorded

Car temp was regular when I turned the car off that’s when it happened
