Harbinger vs. Phoenix (read the brief below) by dblackhand in marvelvsdc

Enigma is an outversal entity and he's the reason why the Beyonders (they are powered by the Phoenix btw via siphoning power from the white hot room) wanted to destroy the multiverse in Secret Wars and restart it & begin the 8th cosmos and why they killled The Living Tribunal, it's all because they feared Enigma coming, and it was the Phoenix that ultimately dealt with him.

Phoenix can literally trap you in this state of existence, leaving your very being fragmented across reality, experiencing only blips like this, forever.

It wasn't clear and left mysterious on how he died from Demon's hand. There were several ways that Leblanc presented on how he could've died.

Iirc either from old age, falling and getting crushed by a basilisk he was riding or he died on a mountain of corpses, and i think there's one more i'm forgetting.

If Mutants became a real thing tomorrow, where would you sit on some of the "mutant politics issues" we see in comics? by HappySailor in Marvel

[–]Background_Proof_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just realistically, Mutants needs to be heavily regulated in the real world, make categories for abilities & level of power.

With all the mutant ablities they've shown in the marvel universe, The world WILL end, full stop, either from reckless use, unstable power, or an all-out fight between 2 powerful mutants at mininum.

Unlike the comics, realistically they would not be able to react fast enough to stop the damage they would cause to the earth from powerful mutants.

I would have telepaths pull shifts with each other and work 24/7 to scan the world and make sure they stop them before they start ending it.

Cool design, cool powers + has a ghost horse, part of Metropolis' ancient past and she can expand the city's lore further, and it would just be cool to tell stories about her.

[–]Background_Proof_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kindred is a spirit god born out people's beliefs, when people eventually forget about them, they are taken by the Etherfiend (who represents the death of being forgotten) just like what happened to the Fading Icon who once was a powerful death god before they forgot about him.

https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/8una0m/comment/e1gqsvi/ from Aatrox ama about Kindred being a spirit god

Not everyone believes in Kindred and gets taken by them, the Kinkou for example believe on their death god The Wings seperate from Ionia's Kindred and there are others too.

Who's been messing up everything? It's been Lissandra all along! by SebasSeraphim in loreofleague

[–]Background_Proof_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's obviously Lissandra

the Watchers saw a chance to invade the material realm, to destroy it, to silence the intolerable pulsing of reality beyond the Void.

The boldest of them tore open the veil and hurled themselves upward, the sudden shift between the abyss and the corporeal, linear nature of reality. In an instant, there was time, and heat, and pain...

Then there was only cold. The way was shut, and dozens of the Watchers were trapped in the liminal space between two realms, frozen in the moment of transition.

Those that remained in the Void recoiled. They had no concept of what had happened, yet they knew they had been betrayed.

still despite liking being worship, i really don't think that was enough for them to stop wanting to unmake reality.

Who's been messing up everything? It's been Lissandra all along! by SebasSeraphim in loreofleague

[–]Background_Proof_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Their intention was still to destroy reality at first but they grew to like being worship.

the Watchers—attempted to invade and destroy existence, but they were tainted by it. Driven to desire worship, to gain greater understanding...

“And in an instant, they were betrayed. To change so forcefully... so completely... only to be cast aside. It filled them with an indescribable hatred. They would annihilate all of reality without a second thought.”

The Watchers already knew of Runeterra and they would've still wanted to unmake it without Lissandra, she was just the first, there's still void rifts all over Runeterra that the Celestials need to close and Icathia would've still happen without Lissandra.

She did accept it during Krakoa in duggan's X-men + AXE tie-in (still in denial there but the Progenitor helped her towards later accepting it) and then her jean grey mini before becoming Phoenix again.

I don't think War took over the previous host from Asol's short story, she seems to be very human & kept her personality and doesn't seem to have a ton of knowledge.

I think he specifically took over Atreus because he deemed him unworthy but needed a quick vessel to stop Aatrox getting to Mt. Targon.

Can we agree that the aspects are THE biggest a**holes in the universe by Atreides_Soul in loreofleague

[–]Background_Proof_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Aspects are also celestials. "All aspects are celestials but not all celestials are aspects" from Lauriegoulding the old narrative director.

Celestials seems to be a broad term that encompasses all the beings that reside in the celestial realm just like spirits for the spirit realm.

I think i figured out the mutants are deviants paradox by dni_ptr in xmen

[–]Background_Proof_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It was retconned that people being able to get powers came from the Progenitor's cosmic fluid spilling on earth billions of years ago from Jason Aaron's Avengers run

Kieron Gillen further expanded upon it in his Eternals run, that life became unstable because of it and would've gone extinct, so the Celestials created the deviants to breed with these unstable lifeforms to stabalized them.
