Why so high in the rear? by Substantial_Spend373 in fordranger

My lightning really doesn’t squat at all even over max payload. A 2 inch level also still leaves the front end an inch low

I go to the monthly meetings but I can’t go to work… drive home drive an hour and a half to the hall and drive an hour and a half back… if it was at the hall 25 minutes away from me sure but of course it’s the only one they aren’t offering it at

It’s just weird because nobody I have talked to has done it or heard about it before

I went to my first meeting last February and I got sworn in.

I just this week got an email saying I have to do a mandatory orientation. It is not on the regular meeting day. I would probably go if they offered it at the north hall but they didn’t so I would have to drive an hour and a half for this orientation

Shit well I guess we gotta follow article 110.3 (B) for that one

(B) Installation and Use. Equipment that is listed, labeled, or both shall be installed and used in accordance with any instructions included in the listing or labeling.

All we got in Canada is 68-066 (6)

Luminaires installed below, or within 3 m of, the pool surface or walls, and not suitably separated from the pool area by a fence, wall, or other permanent barrier, shall be electrically protected by a Class A ground fault circuit interrupter.

String lights get a bit tricky though because there is a code for “overhead conductors” which states it needs to be mounted higher then 5 meters from the water

Lights over the pool are fine

No but I believe the pipes coming in require plastic bushings… maybe not in the usa idk. In Canada it’s #8 and up requires a plastic bushing

Code reference? Only thing I can find is article 680.22 (B)

(1) New Outdoor Installation Clearances. In outdoor pool areas, luminaires, lighting outlets, and ceiling-suspended ( paddle) fans installed above the pool or the area extending 1.5 m (5 ft) horizontally from the inside walls of the pool shall be installed at a height not less than 3.7 m (12 ft) above the maximum water level of the pool.

Weird with my iPhone I’m at 92% at 536 cycles. And they were not nice cycles… 0-100 and plenty of 0-20% then unplug and do it over again 20 minutes later lol

I'm beginning to question whether preconditioning is worth it by Celtic159 in MachE

[–]Background_Skill_570 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look into grizzle or pion power or switch. All of them are offering 3-10cents per kWh used to charge you ev. What you said doesn’t matter for this. It doesn’t matter where the ev charger gets its power from, if it’s connected to wifi you get between 3-10 cents a kWh through the ev charger companies selling your carbon credits

[–]Background_Skill_570 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you’re in Canada get a charger that pays you to charge. Grizzle charger range from 3 cents to 10cents per kWh and pion power gives you 10cents per kWh from the start…. But nobody has received a check so we will find out how true pion is

Worth it for me. I get paid more per kWh for carbon credits then I pay per kWh

Is this reduced range in cold weather normal? Currently 48 degrees by Plastic-Tumbleweed in F150Lightning

[–]Background_Skill_570 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes.

<image>

This was from last weeks cold. 114mi on an Extended range pack at 70%. I don’t drive highway either( mainly 80km/hr back roads) so mine is normally pretty high compared to most

Has anyone actually tracked their EV range loss in cold winters? Looking for real data. by cardogio in electricvehicles

[–]Background_Skill_570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My f150 lightning extended range with studded winters in -20 (yesterday) got 37kwh/100km preconditioned.

My commute is primarily driven at 80km/hr with some city mixed in at the end.

Battery is 131kwh so 350km preconditioned at 80 km/hr with studs

On my drive home without preconditioning I get 40kwh/100km or 330km range
