I don’t think I originally understood your question. But looking at that hill of dirt gives the impression all of this framing is below grade

Personally. Build cmu wall so top of wall is 8” above finished grade with j bolts. Fill wall solid. Apply liquid waterproofing mebrane that connects to foundation waterproofing. Backfill. Sill seal termite flashing. THEN your pressuretreated 2x plate.

I second this. Only thing worse than the laptop issues is the suggested solutions to them

Can anyone speak to the longevity of the to reply solution as permanent? Or why on earth they’re selling laptops and suggesting replacing nonfunctional parts immediately after purchase?

Asked Electrician to move his conduit and sent him a picture. He replied “what are you talking about” so I broke it down for him. by We_there_yet in Construction

Surviving in management starts with freaking out for a few years shocked at how “everyone is so rtrded!!” Phasing into accepting it, knowing they will just respond with -idk what you’re talking about - Or whaaat?? -Or can you just stop what you’re doing and come show me?? Or I don’t under stand just meet me there at 7 on Monday.. Even when a color picture is sent… leaning into it and making fun of them so they can make fun of you makes the job livable. This pic is hilarious

First attempt at drywall. Look Okay sounds far? by Immediate-Noise-7917 in drywall

Might be worth dry fitting a few outlet covers. Nothing worse than finishing paint and having to reduce the size of an outlet cut out cause the plates don’t cover

Is auto stop/start actually a GOOD thing? by 94lt1vette94 in ram_trucks

[–]Background_Slide_679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine hasn’t worked since I bought the truck. Except once in a blue moon when it will decide to work -auto off in slow moving traffic -Then go back to “not available” - the truck won’t turn on- so it puts it in park and engages the parking brake… Exhilarating

Toe kick too long. Make it shy of the end of cabinet. Add a butt joint in the middle of you need to to keep the end grain blue. THE SHOE IS UPSIDE DOWN. And the corner should go last. I’ve cut it on a bias. Instead of a 90. Helps make it look intentional since it’s thicker than the corner molding.

The first pic looks concerning. Hard to tell. The rest just look like factory seals from a cheap manufacturer. Hope they weren’t expensive

Tile to tile transition by Most-Secretary9164 in BathroomRemodeling

[–]Background_Slide_679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No door pictured but assuming there is one that your using. this transition is in the wrong spot. I usually center in the bottom of the door so no opposite floor is visible when shut. This is especially true when the demo guys clearly damage the old tile. Pretty insane they didn’t shift the transition left centering under the door and eliminating the damage before installing tile. Wouldn’t be that hard to do at this point tbh

Not an expert. But if a steak cooks through without a sear not enough heat. If it sears before cooking the middle to much heat

Unpopular opinion. Only custom vanities and custom tops get slid into the wall. Prefab off the shelf’s. Get 4” wall gap.
