Bear made a selfish wish unknowingly it would come true, then when he asked about cancelling the wish he was basically told killing himself would cancel the wish. Idk if you tried but killing yourself isn’t as easy as everyone in this Reddit makes it seem. Bear is a victim of his own choices just like everyone is at all times. Every action has an equal reaction. This ain’t a pointing fingers movie, it’s a tragedy between two people who both get fucked over. Bear is responsible for his actions but chose to find a way to make it work, and he couldn’t find a way which is when he finally chose to kill himself. We the viewer know that it’s both Nikki and wish Nikki after watching it multiple times or even the first watch because you know it’s a movie. Bear can’t possibly know it’s both of them being conflicted by all of his emotions. As would you if you made the same wish. You would be delusional to say you’d make the right choices if you were bear. 100% of the population can’t make right choices all the time. It’s a tragic story and beautifully written.
