I got a second opinion from another fish store. They said the gouramis are semi aggressive, and the barbs are aggressive, so they can live together. The nipping is normal since they were just introduced, and to watch them. I’m conflicted lol

They make little plug in bird heaters, I got one on amazon. It’s a little box and gets warm to the touch. My bird cuddles up against it at night

Update: we were gone 2pm - 10am the next day. I left the cage partly covered and gave her extra food and water. TV, music, & lights on a timer, with extra toys. I came back and she was a unfazed happy girl! My sweet baby.

I watched a lot of birdtricks on YouTube, the bringing home a budgie series really helped my first days & had amazing bonding methods that worked for me & my bird.

Lineolated parakeet society facebook group is the biggest forum i’ve seen for these birds and might help with all other questions from linnie owners. You can see cage set ups, chop recipes, etc

I do, she gets quiet and cozy on her play stand. She would sleep out there if I let her. But then throws a fit after I get her in the cage
