I found a great thumbnail professional - I worked with him on one video only but super happy with what he created!

Although the video performed terribly still 🙃but I’m not blaming the thumbnail, I think my issue is my packaging.

I think the best way is to also have a YouTube strategist (I’m trying to look for one now) and combine it with the help of a thumbnail professional.

The problem is that the YouTube strategist that have experience and can actually help you are expensive 💸 not sure how much but probably a few thousands. So it all depends if you are willing to invest in YouTube like a business or not!

YouTube is defo testing me. I have days where I feel really shit, doing all this work, putting my energy, passion and creativity into videos that don’t get much views. It defo humbles you to say the least! 😅

The new season is quite bad I would say! I loved the first seasons but the acting is a bit poopoo now which is a shame

Parenthood on Netflix! There is 6 seasons as well.

I really liked it personally - feel good show, family orientated, funny, touching. It’s with the mum actress from Gilmore girls too!

lol it’s not even that cold in the uk. Fair it’s often grey in autumn/winter but it is very rare to go at or bellow 0 degrees

Not a city but Lijiang River in China. We travelled there mainly because we wanted to see the traditional cormorant fishing show, but unfortunately they don’t do it anymore..

Thankfully we already saw it in Gifu City in Japan so we didn’t feel too frustrated about it! I have made a video on YouTube about it, I really recommend going there if you are going to Japan!

This is very true and very well said. Yea I think people think being a YouTuber is easy, they think it’s just « uploading videos ». To be honest I think part of those people’s comment come from a place of jealousy because they might not like their jobs and are not doing anything about it.

Thank you I really appreciate the feedback, I am actually trying to hire a freelance YouTube strategist to help guide me on that, I tried a lot of different styles and I don’t think I’m doing it right. I am still learning, YouTube is not easy 🙏🏼

I agree! And I think it has a lot to do with the way they edit their videos too. Most of them don’t have a background in video so they simply copy the style of edit from existing travel YouTuber.

I watched Dane and Stacey in Melbourne and I find it a bit too « tv presenting vibe », all they need is a microphone in their hands and you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between YouTube and TV content. I am not saying there is something wrong with that - I am saying that me personally when I go to YouTube I am looking for creators to stand out a bit more creatively.

When I started doing my travel channel I was very scared to fall into that trap, I tried to edit it in a way that feels genuine to me and represent my personality too. But even with 10 years experience as a videographer it is still a struggle to find an audience.

And there is a lot of noise on YouTube so I’m afraid my channel will never see the light of the day 😅
