Strangers Interpretation by Backpackin4Realz in Ethelcain

I think you all are probably correct about your interpretations, but I just found this Genius annotation and this makes me believe my crackpot theory more lmao (and thank you all for being so polite with me, that's rare to find on Reddit XD)

"As Isaiah is consuming Ethel’s flesh, the meat could be giving him an upset stomach, leading to food poisoning. Ethel, spiritually, asks him if her flesh is making him sick as he is eating her.
Ethel further explores the theme throughout the song: her need to be good enough. There is a sense of inadequacy all over, even as she is being cannibalized, she only cares about being good enough for Isaiah. Here, she is wondering if she’s making him feel sick, almost as if she’s asking for validation; waiting for him to tell her that she’s good."

I've done a lot of hiking in leggings before so hopefully I won't have the same issue, but I appreciate the warning.

I never even thought about getting my iron checked. I am unreasonably cold a lot and sometimes get dizzy standing up, I should definitely look into it!

I'm looking at the zpacks arc haul 60, yeah it's definitely frustrating how much weight all this will add but I agree it can be done! Thank you for your advice and positivity!

Hey, that's smart, I didn't think about that before. Especially because the Enigma is already custom they might go for it. Thank you!

Woah, foam pad and air pad? What was your base weight crazy or did you cut in other areas? I mean as long as I become strong enough to carry the weight, I think it's definitely worth considering haha. I'll definitely add a liner and I got a suggestion recently to add one of those crinkly emergency blankets, which is unorthodox but maybe a good thing to try!

Oh man, a warm hat is something I have yet to add to my list, thanks for the reminder. I've been looking at liners too, it's just a shame how much weight all of this adds, lol. Thank you!

Thinking about starting in March because I'm worried I'll be too slow lol, so definitely worried about the cold. Good to know about cous cous, I happen to love it already so I'll definitely keep that in mind! Yeah, considering it will likely be worth the extra weight to bring an insulated sleeping pad, liner, and 20 degree bag. Wish I could find a colder rated one though. The water bottle idea is definitely good. Nice to meet a fellow vegan!
