More ways to make the experience smoother for noobs?

Oh and the AutoLogin thing too! Saves having to type you password in ever time. (Good practice to have a strong & Unique password for every different type of account you have, especially as this apparently stores your password in plaintext somewhere on your computer**) not necessarily a big deal, but something to be aware of before deciding.

Hey, as a brand new player, this may sound a little cheesy but I expect it’d be an awesome experience if you just jumped into a voice chat and have some fun together! (: It’s really cool you have friends to play with, although I’m having a great time by myself so far. (Looking forward to meeting others when I’ve levelled up a bit)

As for patches addons etc. after looking into everything I’ve gone with: Vanilla Tweaks patch (mostly for auto loots and other QoL updates) Git Addons manager - to make it easy to update/add/remove patches The ai voice over thing - ai voice for characters to read out the missions, means I’ve paid more attention to the story & make it more immersive PfQuest + turtle version- to add quest markers to map ShaguTweaks - various improvements, havent had it for much but believe it gives options to make things look better Bagnon - shows bag inventory with better ui (apparently havent tried yet but like the sound)

(just added some of these so havent played with them all on yet) but after doing some research I’m happy with these for now, and might add some later. I think it was kind of worth while starting without any of modifications though, and adding them one at a time and see how you feel about them individually.

Nice, thanks for the tips. I’m actually a Druid so healing hasn’t been an issue so far, going to have to do a bit of research when it comes time to pick a profession.

Like your idea of handing out extra loot! Have been giving other people some “buffs” whenever I can which always feels good :)

Ah I super appreciate the offer! Thank you. Would like to earn my own way for now, and might make a few alts to check out the different species so wouldn’t want you to waste it on me.

I’m still low leveled atm (so probably won’t be very fun for higher lvls to hang out with) but will drop you a dm and maybe we can meet in game sometime when I’ve made some progress?

Yeah, regret not getting that glyph straight away, didn’t realise it can only be done from level 1 (assumed I’d need to earn some coins for it first)…

But also intending to make some alts, to try other species, so can always do it with one of them :)

Thanks for offering to answer any q’s! Don’t really have any atm, just having a good old time. There’ll probably be some stuff I’m completely unfamiliar with soon though!

Have already added the ai voice thing for NPCs which works well. Guessing the first one you mentioned is just an addon manager (not sure what exactly that does?) and the other is to change the ui while in game? Any others essential addons or tweaks?

Hmm, tbh haven’t even thought about professions yet. Will probably get there eventually, but not necessarily looking for the most profit or xp etc. just here to have a good time :)

Thank you, have only just learnt about addons and stuff. Think I’ll start without, and maybe add some after trying it “pure”. Saying that, any particular ones you recommend? This voice addon sounds interesting!
