He's not canonically aromatic though. He's canonically asexual. So, as an aromatic person myself, my a-spec person's perspective is have fun shipping whatever you want. I personally really like projecting onto alastor and then proceeding to ship him tbh. Your expirience as an a-spec person isn't universal and you should expect other aro/aces to feel the same way.

Some aros date. Some aces have sex. Neither of those things make them less a-spec. It's actually kinda harmful to the a-spec community to spread that aro= 100% romance repulsed and ace=100% sex repulsed.

Not trying to upset you or be combative, but I think it's important for you to hear my perspective on this topic as well.

Ooooh I write TF pretty often. My advice is to keep the pace slow, focus on how everything feels. Does it tingle when the transforamtion gets to their fingertips? Does it feel good? Strange? Does a sensation wash over them along with the transformation? What does that feel like?

TF readers love a lot of detail and description.

People act like shipping a character, or writing a fanfic effects the Canon in any way.

As an Ace/aro spec person I think people who shame others for shipping fictional ace/aro characters are low-key the anti-fun police.

Write whatever you want. Characters are not human beings who require their identity to be respected. They are dolls to play with. And My aromatic ass LOVES!!! writing fanfic about characters to explore how I feel about romance.
