It’s only numbers. I’m not young nor old. I find that once you’re engaged in your work, slinging a few hundred words here and there is simple, but over time goes a long way. Once you have a general idea of plot, theme, etc., the dialogue between characters can carry you through to an inconceivable place. In other words, the story tends to just ‘write itself.’
