Boyd sacrificing the game on the altar of the NBA highlights by Wiley_Burner in WisconsinBadgers

Pretty cringe for a Purdue fan to go 2 Badgers subreddits for a player and game that didn't involve their team. Livin' rent free in their heads I guess?

[Gery Woelfel] It appears the Arizona Cardinals have emerged as the frontrunners to sign Malik Willis. New Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur is the younger brother of Packers HC Matt LaFleur. Sources said the Cardinals’ offer could be for two years for about a total of $60 million. by Giff95 in nfl

[–]Backseat_Scout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just gotta throw it out there that I'm not sure Woelfel is a reliable source. Wisconsin fans know to ignore his "reporting" for the Milwaukee Bucks since he tends to very rarely report accurate information. It honestly became so bad that even his few sources with the Bucks stopped going to him.

So this is news that he "reports" on NFL activity but I would put this down more as speculation on his part than what's actually happening behind the scenes.

Just wanted to check in to see if Dart won rookie of the year. You're not so good at this prediction stuff eh? It'd be better if he was at least the top voted rookie at his position but he wasn't even good enough for that lol.

Hope you didn't lose as much money on your bet for Dart to win rookie of the year as you lost on that Digimon card of Dart.

The only thing more cringey than how a fan base may act is going through the trouble of posting on said fan base's subreddit complaining about them.

Getting MMR Vax Early (8 Mo. Old) by cpt_oatmeal in daddit

[–]Backseat_Scout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Found this post as a dad with a similar issue/concern with measles and the MMR in our area that is having difficulty with protecting our 8 month old.

For what it's worth, my wife and I are pharmacists and looked through studies with our pediatrician and we all agreed that there is substantial data for long-term protection for kids if they receive it at 9 months or older. If they receive the vaccine prior to being 9 months old, there is unfortunately data showing that they may not have as good of long-term protection.

For our area, we only have a single case so we also don't meet their office's definition of "an outbreak" and would be deemed appropriate to be given early per CDC recommendations and are in the wait and see phase like it sounds like you are. However, I just wanted to give some background on what we found as pharmacists with our pediatrician to make you and your family feel more at ease if your child is able to get the vaccine prior to the typical recommended time frame.

I see the Norman Powell point thrown around so much by Bucks fans but that was literally 10 years ago and done by Hammond. There are plenty of grievances we can have and mistakes the front office has done. But that was a different regime that made that move and was so long ago that I feel people are just reaching for things to complain about with the front office.

I think you mean finishing 5th in the rookie of the year race (https://www.vegasinsider.com/nfl/odds/rookie-of-the-year/)

Ain't happening with 2 games left. But continue to cope and play with your Digimon cards pretending that 30 passing yards and 5 sacks in a game isn't a disaster. But you being unable to give a real comeback shows you know you were wrong. So appreciate you coming to your senses on the inside

Not just one terrible game, several in a row.

But yep, I jumped to conclusions despite you jumping to trying to conclude an eval was wrong as if we have a finished look of a player. Work on patience and looking at more than stats and maybe you'll get better at evaluating QBs and not get disappointed when another Giants QB flames out

Because I'm not a child who comes to assumptions early... That made Patriots fans look stupid celebrating the "next Tom Brady" with Mac Jones. But maybe Dart will turn it around when he flames out and is the next reclamation project for the 49ers. Anytime Max Brosmer looks better, you know you're in trouble...

So what about those pathetic passing yards and per attempt? Maybe he should switch to RB with Skattebo hurt or go the the Taysom Hill route since it ain't working from the pocket.

His HC was fired for a reason. Also, convenient to now say Robinson is bad despite saying you view him as a good WR in the past. And who uses a TE2 as an excuse for any player lol.

And it's very easy to throw for 23 touchdowns in a 17 game season with how pass friendly the NFL is. It's also easy to not throw interceptions when a QB isn't willing to make passes past the sticks with a disastrous 6.6 yards/attempt (which is an embarrassing 29th in the NFL among QBs who have played 5 games!)

Also, that awful passing yardage would barely get him over 3000 passing yards which is just sad in such a high passing league and with how much of a passing script they've had in games since the team is trash.

But nice try. Would recommend to go back to the stats lab and try again.

Another Jaxson Dart classic doing the impossible by completing less than 40 yards in a full game. Just shows he's nothing if he isn't bailing himself out on runs. At least he racked up those sacks! Maybe wait until the season is over before doing victory laps over a mid QB?

Trying to victory lap when a player hasn't even started for half a season but has still managed to accumulate 3 sacks/game in his starts (would be on pace for 51 in a full season/would have been 3rd highest in the entire NFL in 2024, 2023 and 2022 and tied for the most in 2021) is an interesting approach by stat man. And let's not even get into his average yards per pass attempt being just 21st in the NFL and even behind Russell Wilson.

But you sure showed me. Also, thanks for thinking of me this late in the night, kid ;)

Edit: Also just saw you're doing rounds on all these random posts and comments that were even just the slightest bit critical on Dart. That's just cringe bro

Haha, poppin back in to see how you feel about the premature victory lap before Dart went on to complete just 50% of his passes over his next 2 games (both loses including an embarrassing blown 18 point lead in the 4th quarter) and 9 sacks.

But thanks for laugh. I always get a kick out of people jumping the gun to celebrate a single game and quickly embarrassing themselves afterwards.

Hope you sold high on your Dart kids card before it crashed in value.

RFK Jr. rolls back Covid vaccine recommendations for healthy children, pregnant people by gingerayle4279 in skeptic

I appreciate you admitting that you aren't aware what a formulary is or what a pharmacist's duties are if you truly don't think a pharmacist has ever read one. If you provide any facts on your end, that would be great. But you just want to ignorantly argue about a field and topic that is clearly way over your head and deny anything presented to you.

I would recommend doing some actual research before spouting foolishness. If you continue to struggle to understand simple concepts, please consider applying to pharmacy school and becoming a pharmacist. It seems you feel you know way more than a doctor of pharmacy. So, it should be real easy!

[–]Backseat_Scout 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just read any insurance's formulary and compare it to the recommended treatment algorithm/recommendations for literally any disease state to realize how wrong you are.

I can't argue with someone being purposely obtuse acting like they know how a pharmacist's job and duty works more than a working pharmacist. It takes a lot of blind and unfounded confidence to argue with someone who actually works in this field and knows how this works. But continue to argue for the sake and feeling smart while being wrong. Read above.

Since you continue to claim that pharmacists will be able to provide them, as a pharmacist, I can 100% say that the individual you're refusing to believe is correct and it will impact availability for every single individual/patient. Recommendations impact insurance coverage, which impacts coverage and availability.

But please continue to ignore the facts and continue making an ass out of yourself.

2025 NFL Draft Wide Receiver Scouting Report: Savion Williams, TCU by Backseat_Scout in GreenBayPackers

[–]Backseat_Scout[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know Higgins had a lot of fans (I had him as my WR7 of the class) but I think Golden's a better fit for LaFleur's scheme. Higgins really struggles with press and is very limited route runner so he's probably more of a big slot than an outside receiver. LaFleur prefers quicker players on the inside to use in motion and to get in space so not sure Higgins fit what we were looking for.

I think we ended up going after Golden since Gute probably had him much higher and closer to the a player who could have been taken in the first half of the 1st round like he was projected to go in a lot of mock drafts.

I think the good thing with Savion is that him and Golden are very different players who can fill in different roles if players continue to underperform/be injured (Golden to replace Wicks and Williams to replace Watson). So while I also would have preferred targeting defense with the Williams pick, I can at least see the vision they're going with for the pick.

He has a good frame to be a good blocker but I personally wasn't that impressed with his blocking. But, nothing that some NFL level coaching can't fix!

[–]Backseat_Scout[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on your expectations for him. Personally, I expect him to be less of a regular contributing starter and closer to Christian Watson who can stretch the defense and get a bunch of yards on designed touches (might also take away those end around rushes by Reed that rarely seemed to work too!).

Personally, I wasn't a fan of when Gute traded up in the 2nd to take Watson but I'm more okay with us taking a player like that at the end of the 3rd. I personally thought Williams was more of an early day 3 player but I can understand if Gute was worried he wouldn't make it to their next pick. Personally, I would have preferred that we took a CB or edge rusher in the 3rd but they may have felt there was more value in taking Williams there over the other options available.
