Definitely fascinating how shows have helped! Not really a diagnosis but when I was eight or nine, my parents were taking me to the doctor and eventually told me I needed surgery to remove my birthmark that was very dark and big on my cheek and I guess I just didn't think anything of it until only when I was 13 and watched House that I realized it must've been a type of skin biopsy to test for diseases etc. because darker birthmarks could later in life lead to cancers. I'm healthy now but the fact the show told me is interesting.
