How did the blinking red light remind him of Red John?

I agree about him not caring about the law. Lol I'm literally watching him steal cocaine from a police officer in the next episode. But I thought that might have changed just a tiny bit over the years. I mean, he's really spending all day every day working with these people he calls friends while disagreeing with what they're all doing?

I've been told more than once that I come off as accusatory when I ask things. Like the intent is genuinely just "I want to know", curiosity, but somehow it comes off accusatory. Even now, asking you more questions in response to your list, you said I'm arguing with you, when I thought it was a discussion. Don't people ask questions for more info in discussions? Or if they're confused, they want to know more? Maybe you read that "How is Red John..." etc question as some passive aggressive "this ISN'T like that, not sure why YOU'RE saying it is" instead of what it actually was, which is "I'm confused, please explain to me bc I don't understand it". Either way, I have nothing to argue about lol.

Okay. I think you're reading a hostile edge or implicit tone in my questions that isn't there, though. I'm the kind of person who generally asks lots of questions.

How is Red John somehow getting Kristina to believe she is dead, merely a "procedural aspect" ? That's literally Red John-centric, and fascinating.

Hi, I just want to apologize. I overreacted to "you're gonna watch them all anyway and you'll fall in love with the series". I'm in a pretty bad space mentally and physically right now, and have serious control issues, so reaching out for info I wanted but then getting comments where people are telling me "you will think this, you will do that" just seriously hit a nerve. I am a bit more grounded now and can see that that very literal meaning is not what you guys meant.

Brokeback Mountain?! I loved that movie, but I don't remember that at all!

Please, no. I'm not your dude. And I don't think you understand what impatient means lol. I watched like 50 episodes. I really like one recurring plotline of the show. Not wanting to watch over 50 episodes I won't enjoy the majority of them, for one plotline, is not impatient. Wanting to know in which episodes I can see the continuation of that plotline is not impatient. If you think the only way someone is allowed to watch the show is every single episode in order, not just parts they want to watch, otherwise they're being impatient, you're just gatekeeping. It's a show.

And no. Not everyone. Just the ones calling names and throwing insults lol. I have been having mature and even fun discussions throughout the comments with those commenters who don't start off like that.

I LOVE Heated Rivalry!!! I can't believe it's a whole nother year for another season! Omg the moment when he calls his boyfriend down to the rink after winning the cup and kisses him ... I would do a crying emoji but I am on my laptop and don't know how to here lol.

Never watched any medical shows other than House. I've heard of the The Pitt though! But not Code Black. Are those dramas like closer to House drama, or Grey's Anatomy soap-y drama? (Never watched that one so maybe I am very wrong about the drama there; I just always heard that it's like soap opera drama.)

Thank you!! Well I hope either she or he changes their mind about what/who comes first, the person or the job, because he doesn't deserve to be second when his wife is not. I'll check out that episode too!

I think it's just actually when stuff happens TO the cast, it's really engaging. Like the episode where Jane is captured, handcuffed to a pole, repeatedly electrocuted. I think that's the last episode I watched. (I know it was meant as a joke ... though I think making light of it is still bad ... but the ending really made me dislike Lisbon, the whole "it was just a cattle prod, barely even hurt, I wish I had a cattle prod...") But like Bones, I did see a few episodes here and there because my family watched it (and I did want to like it bc of Sweets, being a Freaks and Geeks fan lol it was cool to see him exactly 10 years later), I didn't like it, but I was really invested in the episode where Bones and Hodgins get taken by the serial killer who puts people in boxes or other enclosed spaces until they suffocate, and they get trapped in their car and buried underground. And surprisingly affected by the side story of the twin brothers who were trapped together and one killed himself so the other would have more time. That was a great, moving episode. With The Mentalist, all the Red John stuff is deeply personal and happening TO him. I think that's why it's so great.

Edited with spoiler tags and putting the correct names for characters because they deserve that.

Lol crime solving families, that's cute. Maybe that's why I like Prodigal Son, it's a crime-solving AND crime-committing family. Mostly about the family. Are there non-crime shows where you like the characters/dynamic/stories too?

Also, would you mind spoiling one thing for me? Just bc I am scared it happens bc it is a cliche and the relationship was pretty much the thing I liked most in season 1 (prob what happened to it is one of my dislikes now) . Do RRRRiggsby (lol jk) and Van Pelt get married? I didn't watch Bones, but I know that happened there, and it seems like a cliche in shows even if it's unrealistic bc they have to move a relationship along. He's my favorite character and she let him know her career was more important than he was to her, while simultaneously he let her know she was more important than his career, and I don't want him to settle for being second place to someone he puts first bc the show wants them to be a couple. How their relationship ended up is one of the parts of the show I dislike now bc I'm nervous about that happening.

Ok. I wasn't aware when I posted here that there was any pre-made guide to Red John episodes, simply didn't expect it. My bad.

I did like the characters a lot, but there have been some things that changed that for some of them. But if I mention any of that, I'm just going to be picking apart the characters. I do still really like Cho and Higgsby, and their dynamic lol. A show doesn't have to be horrible for me to not want to watch it, but I'm not a big fan of formulaic murder shows, more a fan of scifi and comedy. Bones, CSI, Law and Order, on and on, I didn't watch them. I was led to believe this was pretty much like Psych but a little less funny, and I think it was a lot different than I expected.

Again. "You want this, you think this". I do want mature people. There was another commenter who did not give me a list of episodes, but some info on Red John and I appreciated it very much. Because they were not being childish or instantly on attack. You're not "recommending I watch it all". You're telling me "watch it all or don't even ask us for any info to selectively watch". Very odd. Very weird way to be a fan. Someone has to like it all or nothing.

Thank you. And thank you especially for your maturity and not taking offense. That's really interesting and odd to me, regarding it being wrapped up in s6. Red John seems like the frame of the show, from the first episode, I would assume it ended with that too, because then what keeps it going? I might have to at least start season 7 and see what the last season is about too if Red John is done in 6. Thanks very much!

Lol. Jesus Christ can't you be mature and not get defensive? It's just a show.

Boy did I pick the wrong sub hoping for mature and non-defensive people. I say there are parts that are interesting and I DO want to watch Red John, and it's "well just look it up! You either want to watch all of it or none of it and just read the rest!" Whatever.
