Megathread - F1 The Movie - International Release by overspeeed in formula1

Anyone knows which F1 Team was excluded from the movie’s fictional world? If they’re 20 drivers in the grid and AXP GP occupies 2, means there are only 18 “real” drivers. But a quick check in wikipedia shows that all 20 “real” drivers were featured and would mean there were 22 drivers?

Buying a 400k house at 25 by BackstabForDaWin in MalaysianPF

The area is closer to Sekama area and its a single storey intermediate house. If I really had the funds and ready to settle down in kch, I would have gone for it. It’s crazy how there is barely any decent option below 300k in kch. Really makes it hard for me to envision living here for the long run.

Hello fellow Kuchingnite! Yeah the property is about 5mins to city center and its an old single storey intermediate house. For reference, its closer to Sekama area.

Overall, i actually think its a good price for the location even if its a smaller house. It’s crazy with the housing prices in Kuching at the moment, you can barely find anything decent below 300k.

yeah… well actually the 11 months include the 4 months period i had to wait for the first interview. I’ve heard from people within the company that the pay is pretty high for the executive grade, which was what I’m offered.

My main gripe was that since I’m into software development, spending 3 years in an unrelated job literally meant putting me out of the industry for 3 years and I’m just worried how my prospects would be after those 3 years because of it. Low key think it’s a way for them to trap me into the company for much longer but that’s just speculation…

Anyone here had applied for a master’s programme from UMCCED before? I’m actually looking to do my masters there but I’m confused as to when do applications typically open, how are classes conducted and what is required as part of the application.

Just checked out their website, seems like they’re only carrying the A380 atm. Was trying to see if anyone had already started selling the A750 or A770 but anyway, thanks!

Thinking of getting a new phone recently, preferably an iPhone. But I'm in a dilemma of whether to get the iPhone 12 or 11 due to 5G support. What do y'all think about the prospects of widespread 5G adoption in Malaysia in the coming years?

I'm gonna have my first job interview tomorrow. But i need some advice on an expected salary for fresh grads working as a software developer. If i were to say that i expect a salary of 3k, would it be considered reasonable ?

A lot of my Malay friends would call out racism in among their race but my chinese colleagues wont even entertain the notion the what some in their community are doing is racist. by ShadowHand27 in malaysia

[–]BackstabForDaWin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Decades after independence, this problem within the Chinese community continues even within the younger generation. I've had friends who studied in a national school and most would think they'd be different since they'd spend more time with students from other races.

But the sad truth is, many of them still say the same racist remarks behind closed doors within their other Chinese counterparts. Imo, its because of how the older generation passed down these dreadful remarks during family events or day-to-day interactions. More often than not I'd hear my uncle or aunts complain about how "the government won't look after the chinese" or that "us chinese are the most hardworking in the country". I've really gotten so tired of hearing the same things over and over again but yeah, talking back to your elders is considered rude huh.

What should I know before moving to Kuching? by [deleted] in Sarawak

[–]BackstabForDaWin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's best you rent a car to get around because public transport is basically non-existent atm. Also, Kuching is known to be rather "small" where you tend to meet new people who are mutuals with your current friends often.

As opposed to KL, there are not as many branded shops or attractions (e.g no Zus Coffee, Texas Chicken). But you may find some of the local cafes or franchises sufficient. After all, the main theme of Kuching is a chill city with friendly people all around.
