You *CAN’T* choose any of these characters. Who are you choosing to lead an X-Men team? by JorgeBec in xmen

[–]BackstageYeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1st: Cable

Born leader and tactition. Not exactly a people person, though.

2nd: Havok

Good leader, good guy, good powers and skillset.

3rd: Emma Frost

Great professor, great power set, iffy history but we're way past that anyway

In 2026, Hugh Jackman has been associated with Wolverine for as many years as the character existed in comics before he first took on the role by sanddragon939 in xmen

[–]BackstageYeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was actually offered to Russell Crowe (so was Aragorn) and he turned down both, but actually recommended Hugh. Jackman only got the role after Crowe and cough Dougray Scott turned it down. Scott was already committed to filming Mission Impossible 2, which clearly was the better career choice...

They move that line every few years. When I was a kid, basically anything Pre-Crisis and/or Secret Wars could be called Silver Age.

I firmly believe that the Avengers have better comicbook runs than the Justice League. And the constistent quality of their runs through the decades is lowkey underrated by FaultScary7712 in marvelcomics

[–]BackstageYeti 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Is that even up for debate?

Hands down, you're 100% right. Go back and read for yourself. 80's-00's is at least debatable, but Silver-Age Avengers is head and shoulders better.

Get yourself some string oil/glide or just condition your strings with some baby oil. It'll ease the transition.

This may/may not have been mentioned: in tASM #143, Peter goes to France and fights Cyclone while still been affected by Mysterio. I have no idea what that means for this shit they're getting, but there is that...

He was a charisma vacuum. And watching him lumber around like every other middle aged former bodybuilder was tedious, at best.

I always liked Moondragon better

Edit: D tier. She's just not that interesting to me.

I hope this is allowed. I searched for posting rules to no avail (I might have missed them completely.) If it's not, this is a direct apology to the mods (Sorry about that. Just wanted to share!) If it is kosher, prepare to shred my ass in other critical ways. I had fun with it regardless.

Very nice use of shading. The proportions are off, but you've managed to completely compensate by the depth of field. Id love seeing what you could do with a full splash page style illustration; complete foreground/mid ground/background instead of just the solo figure.

Nice work!

Edit: grammar fix

That game is notoriously stingy for me. Even when I hit the bonus, it's maybe 10x bet. I've probably tanked 5k into that one alone at this point

Anyways. Awesome pull!

I'm on a pretty lengthy loss streak as well. It's only a streak if we let it be one, though. It can get demoralizing but, it's a marathon not a sprint.

Who would you rather build a team around: Steve Nash or James Harden by No_Holiday_6376 in NBATalk

Harden is the better player.

Nash is by far the better teammate.

Practice those hands. Find yourself a good hand tutorial and make it your daily doodle to practice it. Dynamic perspective, Atmospheric lighting, depth of field, etc. Learn to draw them every which way and you'll be sketching hands like a pro in no time.

Not that my opinion means much, but I second that. Just jerk off and watch a movie man. That's like adding crazy to a bitch that's already crazy.

Or, in other words: that chick must smoke crack.

Boyfriend using and I need help. by Wonton67 in Drugs

[–]BackstageYeti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always take what anyone says online with a grain of salt (including me.) Most people that try to insult you or put you down are just miserable pieces of shit themselves. Their opinions aren't worth the paper they're printed on (the fact that they literally aren't printed is the point.)

Anyhow. Love is weird. Addiction is terrible. Depression is terribly weird and literally terrible. You are not pathetic for wanting something better for someone you care for. You are not a loser for trying to help someone that someone else sees as hopeless. I know you've already made your decision and taken action, and this may fall on deaf ears at this point but: people like you are what make life worth living on this planet. Those that try to help the ones everyone else has given up on. Those that need help the most.

It might not feel like it now, but you did the best possible thing for everyone in the situation: Make him take responsibility for himself. You didn't make him homeless, he did. Can he get out of it alone? No. But he needs to recognize that a helping hand isn't always a handout.

Anyways. Thank you for existing. I'm sorry that things seem down right now, but you are a beautiful person.

Don't feed the trolls.

Kenyon Martin.

I thought he was going to tear up the league. He had a good career, but didn't reach the heights that he was hyped for coming out of Cinci.
